And those are stretches at that even. Esp since Augment summoning doesn't help your Eidolon.

Psh, and my Summoner gets criticized by his party when he uses his bow :P

If it's Fantasy Shop, aren't they all the way in St. Charles? I wish they had a shop right in STL, near downtown or something. The drive there is too insane for me.
The one in South County is at 10560 Baptist Church Road, St. Louis, MO 63128. (314) 842-8228.
Their website is http://www.fantasyshoponline.com/
I've been to that one. But unfortunately, it's not a place to look for a community of gamers. I didn't see (nor do I think was there room for) a gaming table and a host of gamers there playing a variety of whatever.
Unless something changed about it, of course, maybe they have the space now?

Umm... why? I guess if you don't have proficiency *shrug*. My wife uses javalins.

Nah, I took a level of Fighter, so I can use it. Pretty much, "I shouldn't be attacking, I should be Summoning things" is the line I get a lot :(
Oh well :P

No they don't have the space. They tried to get the empty space on the end. It used to be a blockbuster, but the landlord denied them because they had someone looking at it. If you want a community of gamers then the saint charles location is it. Game night runs 4e but not pathfinder. Plus its mostly teenagers. Not that I'm that old I'm only 24 but still.
I am now done derailing this thread...
Sorry :D

Why doesn't it help your Eidolon? Your eidolon is specifically called out as being a summoned creature, is it not?

There was a specific ruling saying that Augment does not apply. either in the class update, or in one of Jason's posts on the playtest I think

Weak. With just a bit of work optimizing the summoner is just as effective in combat as most summoned creatures. You throw down some basic buffs if they are needed then you bust out the bow and put some holes in things. After the APG is out and you can't do the Summon SLA it's going to be even more important that you find productive use of your time. Summoners don't have enough spells and they get offensive spells too slowly to sit around casting all the time.

"Augment Summoning : Each creature you conjure with any summon spell gains a +4 enhancement bonus to Strength and Constitution for the duration of the spell that summoned it."
Since you do not use a spell to summon your Eidolon, Augment Summoning does not apply. Same with the SLA.
Augment summoning only works with the Summon Monster spells on the Summoner's spell-list.

+1. No matter what your character is, no matter how weak his combat abilities, you should always play an active part in combat (even if it is only using the Aid Another action). Do this for several fights and then stop doing it. The other players should soon discern that they are overall less effective when your character is not helping.

Variant archetypes are SO last week . . . where's #4!!!. Alright I realize, being ten hours ahead of the folks in Washington, that my perspective may be a little bit skewed. But IIRC they had the preview up by this time last week.
Normally it goes up at exactly midnight on the pacific, which makes me think it's automatic. If the preview wasn't ready in the system for upload, we're probably looking at when they get to work tomorrow.

DICTIONARY.COM knows all! And it says that, that word does not exist!
:P
dictionary.com is so riddled with holes it should be classified as a hazard!
If you look for the common term Mary Sue, it tells you that it's the mother of Jesus taking someone to court. You just can't take that site seriously.
By the way: This is what a proper dictionary says about this!
