Evening, y'all.

Long time no post here.

Glad I've skippped a few threads I've seen. :P

Cheesesticks. Good.

Chicken Tacos. Good.

Food in general. Good.

Guns are cool too.

At least I am feeling better after being sick for over a week and not really realizing it until Friday morning. I was just blowing it off as not getting enough sleep or my blood sugar being up, etc. I finally figured it out when the fever started breaking and reoccurring. :(

We though maybe Orthos made off with you. Glad you are feeling better.

Isn't that what Mathais told Constance to do in Redwall?

Oh well, I guess I will be off to see what is on SyFy now that Sharktopus is over.

Later, Treppa, Studpuffin, and anyone else out there.

Hi, All! What's shakin' tonight?

I'm in the process of building a PFRPG scenario for my daughters. I've gone through all my D&D minis and am building a 4-encounter scenario to use with the Darklands and Dragon's Lair flip-mats.

I started out just picking out all the female characters for them to choose their PCs from. As I went along, though, the idea for the scenario started to build.

In case you're interested,

Synopsis:
After many battles and a long journey to receive the blessing of the Snow Witches of the deep south, the Sisters of the Crystal Heart have returned to their embattled homeland and finally tracked the evil Flamelords to their hideout in the caverns of Mount Helios. The ancient volcano has not erupted in hundreds of years, but its fiery depths hold the Flamelords' wealth and the secret source of their power.

The Sisters will first face Tharsis, Cleric of the Flame, who can call up the dead and imbue them with the power of the inferno.

Then, they will meet up with Sel'Dolkeen, the evil sorcerer who supposedly rules the Flamelords. He will leave the Sisters to deal with a couple of summoned fire elementals and with Etara, the traitorous warrior maiden who betrayed the Sisters of the Crystal Heart many years ago.

After defeating Etara, the Sisters will delve deeper into the caverns and finally face off against Sel'Dolkeen, along with several of his minions from the Plane of Fire who wish to see the sorcerer's vision of a world on fire come to fruition.

Lastly, they will meet the true leader of the Flamelords: The red dragon Gramzon, known in legends as the Crimson Destroyer. If they can defeat Gramzon, the Sisters of the Crystal Heart can return home knowing that the power of the Flamelords is broken forever.

I'm still working out the numbers and class levels for the bad guys. Trying to keep everything at about 10th level.

It feels so good to be doing something creative, again.

Indeed. :) If you have a chance Paris, you might want to write it up and sell it as your own PFRPG adventure. With Paizo and others focusing on the grim and gritty, there is a need for more general audience/PG-13 or under adventures.

Not really. He just continued being an a!+#~!@.

Did you read his latest comment about "zeroing in on a word" to get offended?

Because, yeah, that word isn't offensive unless you look for it.

Morning, All!

Wow. Thanks for the feedback!

Maybe I will write it up and sell it. Hadn't really thought of that. Regardless, I'm definitely going to keep the stats and stuff to use later on.

The girls picked their characters this morning. Kiddo #1 will be playing the elf druid, Elethiira. Kiddo #2 chose to play a fighter and named her Dractolia. They will be joined by Kaiani the paladin, Serastil the sorceress, and Feldenius the unicorn.

I hope this goes well. The scenario kind of got bigger than I'd intended and I'm going with higher level (and thus more complex) characters than I'd originally planned.

Much patience will be required, but I think my girls will want more options than they would have starting as 1st level characters.

I think in some cases it is a waste of time to hope for civility. Your optimism is a bright spot in the world, but I believe it is misplaced in the particular instance to which you are referring.

Sorry to have to break it to you. ;)

Late last night was the first time I had posted here in a while. Now, it seems that after every post, I am "teleported" to the top of the page instead of the end. WTF? When did this start?

It's just a weirdo bug. I'm sure they'll get it set straight when the PMG gets back.

Paris - awesome scenario - your daughters are going to love it. I know I would enjoy playing it.

Ashe - thanks for the muppet snippets. I really liked the bohemian rhapsody one best.

And thanks for reminding me why the only OTD thread I dare enter are FAWTLy ones. I ventured into the Obama thread after seeing the hints here and now I'm glad I bought some bleach this morning.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Tordek - Thanks, man!

After all that, I think I'll have to do something to share it. Maybe I'll post it to my website or something. I'll see how things look once I've finished it.

I still need to do the stats for all the creatures and NPCs. Thank goodness for Hero Lab!

Speaking of Hero Lab. I think I'm finally making the switch from PCGen. Wolfthulhu has been a long time advocate of it in my Runelords game and now almost my entire group has made the switch.

I love it. I picked it up after PaizoCon because they were giving away free copies if you ran an official event there. Editing is relatively simple...still a bit of a learning curve, but nothing worse than PCGen, IIRC.

The full, official support from/for Pathfinder is the big draw for me, but it's so easy to customize and the interface is so well done that I think it's better than PCGen.
