Does spending too much time chasing A in any way correlate to action resulting in B with attendance and/or grades plummeting?

no my naked drow friend. I figured I have spent too much time in school already and need a break. for at least a semester and recharge my batteries.

Did you actually pay for the semester and then drop out without rebate or did you not enroll for a semester? Hopefully you got a job to pay the bills to make up for the school loans not coming in to supplement living expenses.

the semester was paid for, and I am going to go to a staffing agency to see if I can get work around town.

Ouch. That's going to throttle your GPA, Woody.

I'm not saying I don't relate; I do. Although that was almost 20 years ago .... I'd have to start all over again if the bug gets me.

Thanks all... I don't QUITE trust our basement parking garage tonight. I think I'll park outside in the high ground instead. At least my apartment's on the second floor -- still 20+ feet from the top of the water.
Are you in Highland and if so did you have an issues with the storm the other night?

Owatonna. Before the rain started yesterday, the river/creek by my apartment building was actually a little low. It's now 5+ feet over it's banks. Fortunately, the town is built to have a lot of buffer for the creek, but we did hear a call go out for sandbaggers earlier this afternoon. I *should* be fine. The basement floor is usually a good 10' above the creek's level, but I am worried about pipes backing up...

from accounting ... to psychology ... to welding.

Dense Urizen is dense.

I don't really see welding as mixing with psychology. If you were a dance major, I'd say, YES!

Well, congrats on the girlfriend. :)

Well, good luck. Sounds like you have a decent plan in place. And I can relate to the need to take a break. Sometimes it's the right thing to do.

Most folks know good wood when they see it. I don't take it personally -- it's a gift, and sometimes gifts have a downside.

The first one would have broken my mind into little pieces if done properly.

The second one is waaaaaay too much like FFVII. Which I hate. Almost as much as I hate people named Micheal. And Facebook. And Joss Whedon. Actually, it's in the running for first place along with Whedon-hate.

Just about time to head home. I don't have to come into work tomorrow, since I was here on Saturday and I can only claim 40 hours.

I had a phone screen before work for another job. This one has more of a possibility for permanent employment. It went pretty well. It's nice to just see what's out there and not be interviewing because I'm desperate to leave my current job.

I'll be back much later tonight.

Just bummed out at the increase in certain types of threads here in the Off Topic Section.

Edit: And considering taking a break from the boards for awhile in hopes that some of it will go away.

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

I'm sorry I started a Magus thread.

Edit: just kidding.

Unless you really are upset about Magus threads, in which case I am sorry.

Favorite quote from the dynamite-laden Magus train wreck thread (I won't attribute the author this time):
to prevent statistical anomylises producing outlayers which will squee the results.

RPG Superstar 2012

I'm really gone. Bye!

Awright folks! I'm outta here for the day. Here's hoping everyone has a WONDERFUL rest of their day. Especially you, Taig, who are apparently short a doppelganger due to your non-poisoning.

Scarab Sages

I'm out for now. Dinner, then Town Watch patrol, then watching the premiers of Shit My Dad Says and Fringe.

Fun stuff for dinner tonight. Chicken nuggets, french fries, cheese sticks, and loaded baked potatoes. :D
I am so excited. Been a while since I had food like this....you know, dieting and all! But since I have been so good I figure a treat won't hurt too much. :D

Solnes wrote:

Aside from the fever and the nausea I'm doing fine....somehow I have to be better by tomorrow morning because I cannot miss chemistry lab. I can get the notes from someone for class if I have to leave early, but missing lab is bad. :/

Hope you're having a much better day than that.
