Just wanted to pop in for a bit and say HI. Gotta head out to the base soon, and hopefully not get lost. Meeting my contractors at 0800 to take care of any paperwork, etc. then hopefully get started some time this afternoon.
I'm working out of Naval Base San Diego.

Yeah, it was kind of crappy, but I managed to avoid the worst of it. Of course, that doesn't mean my day went any verision of good.....

But I can't stop laughing either. I know it's wrong, but I keep picturing anime nosebleeds. And I've been reading webcomics all morning.
Anime nose bleeds are for a completely different reason tho....=D
Also, I know how you feel Jeremy! The insides of my nose are scabbed over. =( I'm thankful that I'm not sick anymore tho.
Almost sneezed bloody mucus on a b+!%+y customer today. Damn my reflexive mouth covering.

You two should meet up for lunch or something. ~thinks~ OTOH, I would hate for AZ to eat your brains, Paris.

Three days until I head off to Fiji for a holiday and work out the answer to the age-old question:
4 year-old son +
2.5 year-old son +
4-hour flight =
------
????Flight DJ 155 will be lucky to have any survivors.
Keep them awake for 24 hours before the flight. MAYBE they'll sleep. Seriously, I hope the trip goes well.

Bangs a gong!
BONG! BONG! BONG!
GOOD MORNING FAWTLyers! Hope everyone has a great day and that Woodraven did not celebrate his birthday TOO much.
Last night I baked a birthday cake and cupcakes for one of my hard working wife's students. My wife had no energy left. Wonder why, she got up at 3:00 am yesterday, went to work by 6:00 am and got home at 7:00 pm. She ate dinner and was out for the night.
I love my wife and I am very proud of what she does, but I think teaching Special Ed is going to kill her.

I'll be mostly down at Pier 13, another big grey box (but with the number 6 on the side). Working during the day today, but also (if all goes well) from 2200 to 0400 later on tonight. Once we start working nights, my schedule should shift to about that.

Took my son to Vanuatu (almost as far from Sydney as Fiji is) when he was three and a half, we brought along a portable DVD player and a copy of Cars (and some Bob the Builder as a backup), that kept him entertained and well behaved for pretty much the entire flight. A year prior to that, flying to Cairns he was out like a light quite literally the minute the plane took off, and woke up as we touched down – no drugs either. In between those two trips was one to Hong Kong, 8+ hour flight and didn’t have the DVD player on that trip. The way there was fine, he watched inflight entertainment, then slept. The way back was a mid-morning flight and the inflight entertainment was broken … that was a bit of a nightmare.
Two of them is probably a different story to one though … Good luck! And have a nice holiday.

Interesting. Those hours suck, though. I'm going through C5RA this week and into next week before we get underway for COMPTUEX. (Yes, I aware that I'm speaking in acronyms...I'm Navy...it's what we do.) Once the workday's over, I'll likely be heading directly home to spend time with family during this short inport period.
Still, if you find you'll have some time when you're not sleeping during the day, let me know and maybe we can meet up on base.

John decided that a trip to the strip club was in order in celebration of the almost $500 he saved on his homeowner's insurance, only to come home to a busted water heater before the check was even deposited. His wife said that it would have been a wasted trip anyways, as she hasn't made any money there in weeks. Sharon and Tom decided that they would send in an application of Extreme Home Makeover only to get a positive response by Hoarders and Cops. Apparently Tom was featured in a video from the 80's, in which he was chased for 3 miles whilst driving a tank, and most of their hoard was stolen from someone's mini collection.

Lord of ALL code? Then I have some things here at work that he should get to crackin at.
Well, I shall watch for this "Gary Teter" and defend FAWTL as his enemy. And when he eludes me I will also yell his name in long syllables...

You people need to move beyond Dot/No-Dot. There is no Dot apart from nonDot and no nonDot apart from Dot. The two create each other. Until you see their essential unity, and your own unity, you will be caught in Dot/NonDot anxiety. Simply post. Observe Dotness/NonDotness but do not grasp.
You miss your dot too, huh?
