HAH!
Funny, but true, story:
That song was actually a PROMO AD for the Navy back in 1979. The video was filmed with the Navy's permission on the USS Reasoner (irony?). It took the Navy higher ups a little time to figure out that The Village People was a singing group made up of (Gasp!) gay men and the song was supposed to be tongue in cheek. They finally pulled the promo because the stuffy bastards thought the group was "morally dubious".
I would love to talk about my own personal feelings about the changes in Navy policy, but as an officer in the Navy, it's not appropriate for me to do so on the internet.
It was the 70's. They probably were morally dubious. Sexual orientation notwithstanding.

I just wanted to point out that there are over 37,000 posts in this thread. There was no point to that sentence, just an observation.
Yup, and 4 more just like it before this one. And excluding recent events, we've run along without issue. Something we're proud of. :D
And Welcome to FaWTL.

I caught up with some of the back posts. I took that quiz that was floating around.

That is indeed a very strange and unusual phobia. I would help you with it if I could, plants are everywhere in this country of ours, there have to be some times where it's just damn inconvienient if not utterly frustrating. Do you mostly eat meat and bread?

My strange plant based phobias are mainly whole green peppers and very large leaves. Brocolli leaves are especially horrible, as they're kinda pale and have bug holes in them and they're BIG. Like zombie leaves...

Caught up. Hey has anyone else been seeing a passing posts of some self centered ego that thinks everything is about it??? Weird man.
I thought we had established everything IS about me? You haven't been listening to that bastard Sebastian again, have you? And just because he was here first. I mean, John the Baptist was here before Jesus, and JB never made that mistake!

Good to hear. Be careful, though, as things can go wrong when you are healing. I wish I had been more careful when coming back from my first knee dislocation- it may not have happened a second time.

I'm playing Pathfinder with a friend in Texas at the moment (via d20Pro). The girls have their music lessons and swimming lessons later today. Tomorrow morning, the girls are performing with their choir group at church. On Monday morning, I have to go into work to complete my checkout from BOXER. So...nothing big really...just a normal weekend. ;)
I do intend, however, to finish up "The Walking Dead" before the weekend's out. I have one more episode to go.
EDIT: For TotP, would that be nekkid...
a) weekend plans?
b) Pathfinder online?
c) Walking Dead?
d) all of the above?
