Good morning denizens of Fawtliland! I come bearing you French Roast coffee.

Thank you for the coffee. I need it because I just purchased my GenCon tickets this morning. My wife, two of my sons, and I are going to GenCon this year!

We had such a great time at Owlcon this year that we have decided to go to the big show. I would have loved to go to Paizocon this year, but it doesn't work with the boys summer school plans.

I hear good things about Owlcon.

This morning's Moment of Zen:
How the GM sees himself.

How the Player sees the GM.

Taiko drumming at the kyoshinkai tournament on japanese TV this morning. Always good to see one of the styles I used for the monk in my campaign setting in action, even if it's a bit slower than I thought, at least when the men are fighting...these ladies are damn quick!

Roasting frenchies? I think we can be friends!

Frenchies must be dark roasted, for them to have their characteristic, smoky notes. This takes time, but is worth it.

Can I still maul them afterwards?

A very fine maul, for drip, a coarser maul if you are going to use the French press.

He might have been talking about the French Media, which is biased against poodles. (Especially ones who accidentally destroy part of the Eiffel Tower)

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Almost time for math class. Is it bad that I already want a nap?

~contented sigh~ Ahhh... Life is good. Karen woke me up at 6 in the morning and asked to cuddle. It was nice going back to sleep holding her.

No worries brother, she gave me a private demonstration last night of the new stuff she brought home to test. It haz bling! O.O

Leafette likes it. I couldn't get into it. It doesn't have the writing of an AvatarTLAB or Full Metal Alchemist, IMO.
Well, the reason why I was wondering is one of the local pawn shops has Naruto Uncut Seasons 1 through 12 for $10 + tax per season. I was thinking about picking it up come tax time. Maybe.

They have uncircumcised anime?

I do hate the mad wizard. Somebody should do something about that guy! Maybe some kind of strike team, with swords and specialists and magic! Yeah, that's the ticket. They'll invade his underground bunker and defeat his defenses, then kill his butt!

You know, this sounds vaguely familiar...

I need to see that. Is it playing online anywhere?

You can view it on Netflix, both the trailing episodes of the current season, and season 1 Blood and Sand. It took me a while to get past the "bucket o' blood" fight scenes but the story and characters are able to draw me, and Solnes as of last night, past those facts. All in all I give it a 4 out of 5.

And for Gregg, we have The Bukake Cafe as a new sponsor this year.

And it'll be playing this song in the background.

Just be warned Urizen, there is frequent full male nudity. And there is a final scene in episode 8 of season 1... I don't know how the guys reacted when they saw it, but it even had me wincing.

Thanks Moorluck and Ashe- I'll add it to our watch instantly queue. Is it a bad idea to watch this as I have a Kingmaker game coming up on Friday and perhaps a Darklight Sisterhood game this weekend?

Absolutely not. It's a very good, although gritty, source of ideas for any game. But depending on your KM game, it may be an invaluable mine for ideas of how corrupt and power hungry "nobles" might behave.
