Are you like my wife, loading up coffee with dairy and sweetener? I always tell her, Darlin, it's not the coffee you like. (My mom was the same way.)

I still think it's just a strange internet echo. If this phenomena doesn't have a name yet, we could call them, Swanson echoes.

Mmm... When I get it from DD, I always tell them "Extra Sugar and Cream".

I think it all stems back from when I was a wee lil' gamer, and I went to the fridge for some Coca-cola, but my Dad had homebrewed some Kahlua and bottled it in an old Coke 2-liter.

The shock of one taste when expecting another can wreck you for a long time...

You can never have too much emergency lubrication.

Whoa - this thread has really come alive. 435 posts since lunch time yesterday. A few random things from scanning the posts quickly.

Welcome Lindisty to this crazy thread!

Congratulations on the impending marriage Sharoth.

Eric - glad to see my fellow lurker is alive and well!

To my fellow Houstonians, drive carefully today. It was awful on the roads this morning. It took me over an hour to make my 35 minute drive and by the time I got within 4 miles of my plant, I decided it was time to close the plant for the rest of the weekend and start fresh on Monday. Thus, I am at home now and can actually post during the day!

Also, CH, if you still have an opening in your ravenloft game I'm interested but I must confess, I've never played in that setting so I don't know much about it.

Tordek Rumnaheim wrote:

Thank you. Is more like a tapestry than a thread, though. :)

And with that, I'm cutting out early to go pick up my recently deceased kitty's ashes from the vet, then go shoot pool, drink beer, and have a proper Irish wake for him.

Have a lovely weekend, folks!

Wolfthulhu, I brought my laptop home with me. I HOPE I get snowed in. :D

Soup in the crock pot, crackers done....now vacuuming.

I think I'm going to go ahead and order mine next week. Maybe over the weekend.

~chuckles~ Well, it is a bit less than 60 days. We will be getting married at the Davneport House Museum courtyard at 5:30 pm on 2-14-2011. It is just a ten minute ceremony, but it is still a nice place. After that, we will be meeting some of my friends at the Crystal Beer Parlor for a little get together.

Well, go you! That's awesome.

So did anyone catch the Community Episode last night. Chevy Chase playing DnD and one character dressed as a Drow who is being called a racist because he is in black face.

Speaking of which does anyone watch Decoded so unintentionally humorous. Or well maybe they are trying but it is funny to me.

Take care, Lindisty.

What kind of coffee do you all drink? I enjoy Dunkin' Classic Roast' or Chock Full O Nuts. I find Folgers to be kinda icky.
Folgers icky. I buy whole bean Sumatra and grind it myself. But I'm a little nuts about coffee. :)
Coffee is important....you just don't drink just any old kind. I also find myself enjoying the coffee and chickory, made with half warm cream and half coffee! Mmmm

My taste in coffee changed dramatically once I could no longer have milk. I mean, non-dairy creamer is okay and all, but it doesn't sweeten quite the same way. The espresso roasts I used to love no longer taste as good. I've never actually tried chickory. Huh. I'll have to fix that at some point. :)

Yes. Finally got around to catching up on tv viewing last night since my head was going to explode if I tried to study any more. And Bones seemed appropriate since what I was supposed to be studying was the skeletal system. :)

As a supervisee who sometimes acts this way, I can understand your pain. :)

Twice this week, I've had to sit someone down for a conversation on the level of, "While you are on these premises, you may not touch your coworkers or their belongings without their consent".

(Not exactly the issue in either case, but on the same level of WTF-itude. All I can say is, "Aargh!")

Some people just never grow up, can be so frustrating.
Seriously. Having to explain a concept that should have been mastered in elementary school should be grounds for immediate dismissal.
Does that mean we can dismiss certain people from the boards?
I like this thought process....

I also approve.

Wow. What line of work are you in?

I'm a librarian.

And mostly I love my job, but I'm pretty introverted, so being a supervisor requires constant effort and communication, because my natural instinct is to hole up in my office and get stuff done. :)

My mom was a librarian. Well, actually she was a library director, but same idea. She always had the best stories about some of the crazy people that worked at or came into the library. Like it was some kind of magnet for crazy. :)

Wait, did the Prof call me crazy?!
