At 3:12 this morning, I watched the solstice total lunar eclipse skyclad. It was the greatest birthday gift ever, watching luna blush and hide her face from me. The little flirt. Then again, I WAS naked.
It wasn't a tad cold?

You'd think that, but it actually wasn't. The wind was more invigorating than unpleasant. I can totally see how some people were able to do rituals under such conditions, limited exposure to the elements really doesn't get painful unless they're extreme.

Besides, aren't YOU a bit chilly since you're all nekkid for TOP and such?

[EDIT re: nekkid man exploding out of b-day cake]HA!!!!!

Hmmm, perhaps a distraction while the angel gets cleaned up? That frosting incident looked painful. ;)

Happy Birthday! Birthdays are good.

Did you know that the people with the most birthdays under their belt actually live the longest?

Happy Birthday Freehold! As a gift I dedicate Tiffa's victory last night to you. You'll be pleased to hear that after exhausting her spells the teenage gypsy girl made use of her 1 level dip into monk and kicked, and I do mean kicked, their asses up one side and down the other. And she did it for you my friend, all for you.

So I was making my list for the grocery store and I realized that most of my favorite holiday treats are dairy based. I mean, I still included a couple of the not as bad ones. That's what lactaid is for. But now I get to look through recipes and such to try and find some new favorites. Stupid body not cooperating with me again. ;)

So, Facebook is trying to get on my good side by wishing me a happy birthday, is it? Well, it's not going to work! I'll be right back to planning it's eventual, horrible demise...tomorrow. First, I need to enjoy cake and possibly see Tangled.

Hey Freehold DM. When will you finally admit your love for Joss Whedon and Facebook?

My hatred for Joss Whedon and Facebook are like Poland Spring- sealed deep beneath the earth where noone will disturb it so that noone realizes that all is in that plastic bottle is filtered tap water.

That is why you should give subscriptions/memberships to the jelly of the month club. It is the gift that keeps on giving.

Think about it, both potatoes and Iowa both have a profundity of vowels. There's probably Hawaiian potatoes as well.

You've also got that strange whistling noise. I can hear it when I drive through your state, but none of you seem to notice it. Weird, huh?

Have a happy Christmas / holiday season everyone if I don’t get a chance to post again before then.

Sorry you felt that way.

It was just 100mph winds large dark gray stone building. The inside of which was poorly lit with large looming statues. So combined with the howling wind and almost no one around = creepy. This is the building in question.

My family's cat has diabetes. That cat is also the closest thing I have to a real life friend at the moment. Tonight, I had to give her her shot because no one else is in the house. An hour and a half later, I still haven't done it. I just can't stick the needle in. I almost had the nerve, then the dogs barked and she bolted and I had a meltdown because I've been doing this for an hour and it's probably too late at this point and now it's even later and anything that happens because of this will be entirely my fault.

Davi I understand your pain. You just have to grit your teeth and do it. I love my cat too, but if it's for the good of the cat it has to be done.

Scarab Sages

So, I figured out something else to get my wife for Christmas - yesterday she was complaining that her scarf wasn't really long enough to wrap around her neck against the cold. So - new scarf!

That's two things.

Of course, she also let me know that she got me something from her and something from Baby Ironman. DAMN!! Now I've got to come up with something from the kid as well.

Scarab Sages

So, my co-worker in the cubicle across the aisle is the guy my boss has overseeing a lot of programs. He's got a whiteboard that he keeps action reminders on. Every so often, when he's not around, I like to wander into his cubicle and "contribute" to his lists. Sometimes it takes him weeks to find my "contributions".

Anyway, he's out of the office this week and next, so I've got plenty of time to do something interesting. For starters:

- the military's love of acronyms being what it is, one of his columns now has the terms LOL and OMG/WTF added.

- a column labled "New Technology" is now "Newt Technology".

- under a column labled "Training" I've put "Mmmmm....cheeseburger".

- Under a column labled "Documentation" I've put a reminder for "Memoirs".

Any further suggestions would be appreciated.
