Hey! Thats' great! Can I borrow this image for my daughter's use in our home game? I think it'd be cool for her to know that I know the guy who drew the picture. :D

I. Can't. Wait.
It won't let you see the trailer unless you have a Facebook account.

I probably don't need to tell you this but don't tell your wife she is getting big. ;).
I don’t know. My lady is heavily pregnant (baby will probably arrive this weekend) but she hasn’t put on much weight – her usual weight is about 55kg, she is up to 58kg now. Her belly is certainly big, but when she tells people how far along she is the usual comment is ‘oh, you can’t be, you don’t look that big’ or ‘you’re not big at all, that’s a tiny bump!’
I know that people are probably meaning well to say that, or mean it as a compliment, but she absolutely hates it. ‘If I’m not big, why am I feeling so heavy and uncomfortable and can hardly walk?’ she feels like saying.
I make a point to tell her how big and round her belly is looking. I made the mistake of adding the other day ‘but your face and neck still looks so slim,’ and got ‘not you too – I cop enough about that from my mother.’

Happy Thanksgiving, FaWTLys!
Also, Aberzombie, the realtor called and said that lovely beach house is back on the market. Something about the previous owners being found drenched in sea water with their brains sucked out through a juicebox straw... :)

There is a major bug on the site that it makes me pay for my purchases. Maybe you should fix that one for Christmas. ;)

Happy Black Friday, everyone!
I'll echo The Thing's sentiment and borrow some well wishes from my daughter: I hope everyone's tummy was happy yesterday.
I, too, am working this post-holiday Friday. It's a 4-day weekend for the ship, but I took the duty today while another officer is on leave. Hopefully, things will be relatively quiet, so I can catch up on work and have a not-too-stressful day before getting back to my weekend tomorrow.
I'll be in and out of the thread throughout the day.
Cheers, all!

Anyone here work with campaign cartographer 3?
Anyone know how to draw an ellipse with it?
I'm at work, so I don't have access to my laptop, but I believe you can get to the ellipse by right clicking on the circle menu. Then you enter the major and minor axis values.
It's something like that, anyway. I hope it helps.

Right on the money. Thanks.

It's official:
(Ok, it was always obvious.)
Fortune cookies are a sham.
My fortune is a Star Wars quote: "Do or do not. There is no try."
Granted, Yoda was channeling his inner Lao Tzu, but that exact quote is pure Lucas.
And here I always thought my fortunes were divined by some bearded sage sitting atop a mountain in the Himalayas. Instead mine is from some bearded fat white guy in SoCal.

I just bought the D&D Essentials rulebooks, I feel so dirty.
You dirty little boy! Go wash your hands with lava soap (remember that stuff?)! ;-)
You know, I've been at work for 4 hours. The warm feeling of pride for volunteering to take the duty today has worn off. I want to go home and enjoy the long weekend with my family. 20 more hours to go. Grrr...

Chinese fortune cookies, invented in San Francisco. Called American Fortune cookies in China?

I'm going to pretend I don't know you.
Seriously, though, I just haven't liked what I've seen. From your comment, I'm guessing you feel the same way, but bought them anyway.

It got to the point that if I want to play at all I have to play 4th ed. Since my players will play nothing but now. So this is why I ended up getting the essentials books.

What's are some of the differences between 4e and Essentials?

Hey, half of Essentials is good! Really, it's biggest problem is that it's caught in the gray area between 3.5/Pathfinder's game design and 4e's game design, thus not really satisfying either group that much. Personally, I just think of it as 4e's Unearthed Arcana equivalent. It's much less annoying that way.

For one, you know how 4e fixed the whole Quadratic Wizard Linear Fighter problem by putting everyone on the same power curve and giving Fighters just as many cool powers to use as Wizards? Well, the Wizard subclasses in Essentials has roughly the same number of cool powers as a regular wizard. The Fighter subclasses, well, they have two or three ways of augmenting a basic attack and not that much else. The 4e fans dislike it because it's a return to the 3.5 days of fighters just hitting things the same way while spellcasters have all the cool stuff, and 3.5 fans hate it because they still don't like 4e.
I could go into further detail, but that sums up most people's issues with Essentials.
