Some cooking show guy I've never heard of for TotP. Who the f~+& is Alton Brown?

Liberty's Edge

This is the creepiest short story I've ever read:

His Face All Red by Emily Carroll

He's the host of a show called Good Eats (and others...but we don't speak of those).

Kind of a tetchy feller, ain't ye? Hope I never offend you.

Backs slowly away from FreeholdDM...

Freehold DM wrote:

Ah, so your roommates were just a**holes then. The whole point of the show was to teach people who don't know how to cook. (I mean how to actually cook and not just copying what the guy on TV did.) If they watched the show and didn't even get the basics of cooking, well they're a lost cause.

Also, blame Food Network for Iron Chef America and not the guy hosting it.

Leaving us to wallow in our shame as you received medals and ribbons. And trophies. Trophies without end. We know who you are now! And we remember!

You might want to work out some of those issues.

Yeah man. What did marching bands ever do to you?

returns to plotting revenge against Joss Whedon, Alton Brown

OK I understand the dislike or rather hatred of Whedonism from you. I don't agree with all of it but hey whatever. But Alton Brown what did he ever do to you? Fluff your fillet?

looks at fluffed fillet meaningfully

Actually, my reasons for hating Alton Brown are more based in ego than anything else.

When I was living with my roomies, they used to watch the show all the time. However, I was the only one in the house who could actually *cook*. They would rib me all the time about how wonderful Alton Brown's cooking was, although(with the possible exception of a WONDERFUL honey-soy sauce for salmon), neither of them knew what they were doing in the kitchen beyond perhaps making spaghetti and/or mac and cheese. I decided to make a sizeable dinner one day just to shut them up- paid for everything myself- chicken, potatoes, veggies, soup(I forget which kind now)- even dessert.

I heard my biggest fan FreeholdDM is lurking around this thread. Can anyone point me in the right direction. You see I wanted to let him know about my new project. Paizo has hired me to do paizo the movie, which is going be a lot like buffy except with more musical numbers, and I was wondering if it was ok if I hired David Boreanaz to play him.

Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free
You can't take the sky from me
Take me out to the black
Tell them I ain't comin' back
Burn the land and boil the sea
You can't take the sky from me
There's no place I can be
Since I found Serenity
But you can't take the sky from me...
