Well, yesterday was weird. Mix of good and bad. But today is more good. Dan is now officially employed. Yay! :)
And, this may be a little thing, but I got a new coat last night. Mine had ripped all along the collar, and it was pleather so no repairing it. Having a non-ripped coat makes me happy. Getting it on clearance helps even though I feel bad about spending the money right now.
Spent the afternoon doing the research study at UM autism center. Bryce thought it was fun since he got to play during his testing. We just had to answer lots of questions. I drank too much coffee and was really struggling to stay awake by the end. Hopefully will get some helpful results.

No, you are wrong. I calculated your commission correctly and showed you the math. I cannot fix "moron". If you feel that you were paid incorrectly, please take it up with HR -- you should probably have your contract handy as well. Yes, the one you never read...

Oh wait. Wrong place.

Spoiler:
Looks like BT is back. BT, if you see this, you up for lunch again?

Ok then...........

Anybody remember Jim Henson's Storyteller? Michael Gambon and Sir Derek Jacobi among others, along with muppets. Damn.

This has become a common topic of conversation lately. 'Haves' and 'have nots' work for brain cells as well as money. And the two are not necessarily related.

~grumbles~ THAT sucks! I am glad that I have my Heroscape stuff. I just wish I had some of the stuff I am missing.

I loved this series. I have it on DVD and frequently rewatch it.

Thanks Mairk and Amby. So glad to have good news for a change. :)

I have to find where I packed up those Storyteller VHS tapes. I can get my nephews hooked, then gateway them into Farscape. Mwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Spoiler:
I haven't been around much lately. I've been fighting a VERY bad bacterial infection that, frankly, would have almost killed me. Over the past month, I've been in and out of the hospital and last weekend was the worst of it. My head bloated so much that they were afraid it would cut circulation off.

So Friday night, it got so bad that Jenny took me to the ER. I can't even begin to describe the pain I was in. When I got to the ER, which is 10 minutes from our apartment, I was rushed in and had 2 tubes stuck into my mouth. one down my throat (No Urizen) to open a breathing hole, one they cut into my cheek to pull out what my wife describes as "white, creamy puss. Like popping a zit.". I made it through the night and am now on so powerful of antibiotics, I lose weight like a fiend.

I'm still not really over it. I have it, but it's now under control. The doctors don't know what it is. They say it was an allergic reaction, but since it lasted over a month, and we did what they wanted us to do (change diet, wash everything, new soaps, etc.). It was rough. I just wanted you all to know that I haven't left or stopped talking to you all, but it's been a rough go of things lately. Loves ya.

Mac, glad you're still with us. Hope you get better soon. That sounds pretty rough.

Geez, Mac, that does not sound like much fun. :-( Hope you are on the mend and will be in the pink soon. Lyn, so happy for your crew. Things seem to be looking up!

Damn, my cousin Bren's going to be pissed--he's a hardcore Heroscape fan. I used to play a little too. Seemed like a fun game, easy to pick up and play, and I'm sad to see it go. Yet another boneheaded move by Hasbro. Re-using D&D minis? What the f+&$?

Not sure why they're axing it, all that's been said is "They've sited a desire to focus on their core brands as the reason."

I had forgotten how cool these were. The Greek Myths are available on Netflix Watch Instantly.

Nifty, Liz. Very schmancy and wickedly cool.

Thanks to Jyu1ch1, I remembered to watch the super cool part I of the Cthulhu episode on South Park.

Bad news for me. A friend got me my first set, picking up reissued D&D minis I couldn't otherwise get.

The only thing I've really bought from wizards lately has been a crapload of miniatures. They were at one point planning on combing the D&D minis line and heroscape but I guess that fell through. Now they said they'll wait for the sales reports on the LOM set before they'll say for sure if they'll continue the line. The only thing they have promised miniatures wise is 1 Icon gargantuan mini in 2011. And by all reports thats all but been confirmed what it is.
