I'll have you know I've never broken anything under the influence of alcohol. Sure, I might have sprained me knee.
Also, I busted the glass out of a vending machine while I was completely sober.
Last time I got drunk was about seven years ago. I put my head through a plywood door. Six years later, I put both my fists through the same door, completely sober.
I guess I have a thing with breaking other people's stuff with my body.

I agree with PirateDevon, if you want to be good, you don't trade your soul for power -- suck up the level loss and move on.At first I was thinking that it might be borderline because he might have felt he was being force to change by DM fiat. Then, I realized (thanks to Ashe's comment) that he had a choice, and he had to have known the consequences of the choice he made. As long as he has an "out" that involves something more than an atonement spell, then I think it's fine.
I would see it as an interesting roleplaying opportunity, myself. :)
So I was thinking of having a cleric of Asmodeus appear in the middle of the night and appear only to the fighter for an opportunity. Basically give him a map, a ruby hilted dagger, and a small holy symbol of Asmodeus. The job is to follow the map to the end and kill the guy in the room at the end. Then place his body on the altar in the room driving the dagger through his heart and placing the holy symbol on his head. With that the contract will be fulfilled. Except the "room is a secret meeting place to Saranrae. The "guy" is an eladrin and if he does kill the eladrin and place the body on the altar with the dagger through it's heart and the holy symbol on it's forehead, it desecrates the temple and sets it on fire. What do you think too evil?

Is it bad that the first thing I thought of was "aren't Eladrins called 'Azatas' now?"

Good Mourning FAWTL! I was busy yesterday and almost missed PMG locking the thread. Glad the crisis was averted. Now back to VB scripting.
Taig didn't FAWTL recently pay off the Teters? ;)
CJ happy birthday!

It usually happens that way...some of us come home from work and the thread is locked. Than we have to scramble to find the new one. No worries...if PMG locks us up..we will move on quickly and set up a new home. We even hang new curtains and draperies. :P

DMs can never be too evil, but the guy already whined about you 'pushing' him to LE so be prepared for more whining. I like the idea tho. Especially if the secret temple to Sarenrae is 'encroaching' on Asmo's turf.

Morning, FAWTLies.
Another challenging day at work. Too much to do, too little time. Prepping for another underway period. The combination of stress and impending separation has the depression settling in a bit early, which of course, sucks.
But, I can't afford to give in to it. (Reference "too much to do" comment, above.) I'll muscle through the day and look forward to dinner out with the family tonight.
The girls' kindergarten teacher (and one of their favorite people in the whole world) will be coming over to tutor them. The recently-developed ritual is for everyone to go out to a local burger shop for dinner, afterward.
I hope everyone else is having a good day.
Happy Birthday, CJ!
