What do you mean by run-on?

It's the title of the song, or at least Elvis' version, aka God's Going To Cut You Down if you prefer Johnny's version.

Also, Cash wins, Elvis takes second, and Moby can just stop singing now.

HALLELUAH!!!! THERE IS A KARMIC GOD!!!!!!!!

My douche boss got written up / possibly terminated for being with another manager from another store. I say possibly because the other manager has no bearing on what happens at our store.

Oh....congrats PMG and forgive Solnes and I for not being around for the blitz. I was under the assumption it was this morning.

The best pizza is the stuff you leave out on the counter overnight. It gets this film on top, one that seems to seal in the flavor. It's magnificent!

When I was in college, I worked at Little Caesar's during the summers. I took pizza over to my friend's house at least once a week when I left work at night. One time, we didn't finish the pizza, and by 6 the next morning, the cheese had turned translucent. Bleh.

You did not change it for me! You changed it b/c they were OFF yesterday!
"Leafy: So should this be rescheduled for Tuesday, 6:30pm CST (4:30 Pacific), assuming that tomorrow is their first actual day back?" Exact quote from FB thankyouverymuch!

Should have been CDT. I'm sure all the confusion would have been avoided if the correct time had been used.

It's weird. I dislike a lot of foods because of texture (get thee behind me, onion!), yet I like coconut, and I also like cottage cheese. Not together, mind you...

And with that, I'm off to bed.

This cold (I'm fairly certain it's not strep, even though I had a fever for two days) kicked my butt. I'm feeling a lot better than I did yesterday, though.

Good night!

Wolfthulu, I missed if you responded to my query about most influential musician IYO.

That's what you get for going off on a serious tangent during a blitz. :-P

But to repeat myself, Elvis for one was far more influential than Johnny Cash.

Now, that's totally irrelevant to whose music I prefer, but that's not what you asked.

That maybe true up to a point. Cash had a lot longer to influence music. I think time will tell if he did or did not have a much wider range of influence on music since his legacy is just now in fruition and Elvis has been passed for a much longer time.

None of which matters to the question of who is or has been more influential so far. Some nobody that we have never heard of my take the music scene by storm next year revolutionizing all genres of music as we know them. But that doesn't matter. We really can't have a conversation beyond who has had more impact up to this time.

Influential artists off the top of my head: Coltrane, Miles Davis, Armstrong, Ella, Frank Sinatra...all seminal and a pleasure to listen to.

The recording / broadcasting room for the radio station I work for is basically a closet, off of another bigger room in the basement of the student center here at Syracuse University.

Today, I find out not an hour and a half before my show that a visiting musician, DJ Aoki, is using said larger room as his DRESSING ROOM, and I won't be able to get in until basically when my show starts. No prep work.

I've been able to bully the door-people into letting me into my own f&~*ing booth at quarter to eleven, but it'll still be a tight squeeze. God f&~*ing damn it.

How'd it turn out?

If you have a link for your show, please post it. Mine ears demandeth it.

Should have everything up and running sometime tomorrow, hopefully.

Yeah, THE DJ Aoki. As in the guy. I didn't run into him, but my boss, Kyle, did an interview with him. Apparently, he was a really nice guy.

Sweet....

Not. That is full of fail.

Hopefully the other kid deserved it.

And did you teach him to go for the eyes while screaming maniacally???

Did the other kid deserve it? IMO yes.

And no, I teach my kids to go for the groin. Like my daddy, God rest his soul, taught me "If a fight last longer than 30 seconds, you lost."

<shudder> I had that lesson drilled into my head on a daily basis growing up. Seriously, my dad insisted on giving me lessons on how to fight. More specifically how to fight so the other guy never gets a chance to throw a punch. Something about if you're going to get into fights with the boys at school you're at least gonna learn how to do it right. :/

My sisters, bless them, can't throw a punch, change a tire, or swing a hammer, but for some reason dad thought it was vitally important that I learn all of these things. Parents are weird. :)

I got the whole "nonviolence is a virtue" lesson drilled into me. It never seemed to stick, though, and I had to make it up as I went along. I still prefer the 'grab other guy's neck and ram his face into your forehead' and 'fake a punch, then headbutt face/kick groin' moves myself.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING FAWLTYHOUSE!!!!!!

Still in pain from the con, if you can believe it. If this continues, I'm going to go to the podiatrist. But yesterday was spent loafing about on the couch and doing laundry and otherwise enjoying an unusually clean house. I've got to get that Darklight Sisterhood adventure finished for the weekend. Friends and I are also trying to figure out what we should do for the Halloween parade. I wish I had the time to do the Pathfinder Iconics, but we're all broke and short on time...
