mutter. mumble. grumble
Work computer crapped out today. The guy won't be by to fix it until tomorrow at 0930, which is a half hour before I WAS going to leave for the day to run errands.
On top of that, I now have less than a week to try and organize a trip to San Diego to do an inspection onboard a ship. And the folks out there have limited us to working midnight to 4 am, for safety reasons. So what might have been done in 2 weeks will now take about 3 or maybe 4 weeks. And that's with working on Saturdays and maybe Sundays. In truth, the folks out there didn't want us to do the inspection, but the Commodore kind of insisted, so they're now making it as hard on us as possible. What a bunch of douches.
And the trip will likely mean I won't be able to attend my group's planned gaming weekend, where we were going to finally finish our stalled Age of Worms campaign.
Ouch...That sucks, AZ. For a minute, I thought you were talking about my ship, but the details don't match up.
I'll be in and out of the area for the next several weeks, but I'm stationed here in San Diego. Send me a note at paris.crenshaw@gmail.com. Perhaps our schedules will line up to allow us to meet up or something.

Urizen wrote:Yeah, how is the coffee gig working out for you since you've been in that swing of things for some weeks now?Good. The new store is opening next week, and I will be headed down there. I think being in a hospital will be a fairly steady stream of customers. The new boss is a real cool guy, and has some vision about expanding, which is refreshing in these times. Plus, I have the time off I need to watch my daughter. So it's a win-win.
Yay, glad to hear things are going well for you. :)

Hi Lynora, it's been awhile. I like the new look.
Thanks:)
I'm kinda intermittent on the board these days. I've got a bad schedule for my first semester of school in that I have class seven days a week. And when I'm not in class I'm dealing with kidlet issues. :/
I just keep telling myself I can hand in there until December. :)

Heh. My son loves his plushie cthulhu. It was all he wanted for Christmas one year. I have an awesome picture on the wall of him holding it up triumphantly with this huge grin on his face. :)
Anyhow, congrats, Justin. :)....oh, and you might not want to let him keep cthulhu in his bed.....it whispers evil things in the night. ;)

Pony has been busy and not been posting much.Wolfie has been sticking to his PBP, too much of a full moon and he doesn't want to crab everyone.
Or at least that is what I think is going on. Don't want to speak for anyone else.

Cross posted from the ask James thread:
Some friends of mine gave there daughter a plush Cthulu when she was young (she called it Lulu). A few years ago she told her parents in a very serious voice when she was in trouble that Lulu wouldn't like that.
Yep, this comes as no surprise to me...

And thus ends my posting blitz trying to catch up on everything I missed today.
Today sucked. Major kidlet problems at school. He hit kids and teachers. At an absolute loss about what to do. :(
Oh no. That is a tough one and I wish for you all the luck in the world so you can achieve a solution. Take care, Lynora.

g*# d%#ned stupid Facebook applications! How dare they invade my privacy!
If you guys check out something called Nasty Truth Video don't allow the application, it takes over your home page and starts posting things you never said.
Reported and Removed!
What were you looking for in that Nasty Truth Video, hmmm? :)

Jeremy, how goes the forest construction? Or have I missed a new update/photo along the way? I am interested in seeing how it turns out.
Well gluing plastic leaves onto the trees is a slow painful process not even finished one tree. But once I do I'll post pics. I also have more trees ordered for next week.

It's about McDonalds, but it appears to just be an excuse to try hacking your profile.

Excellent! At least about the new trees. I did not realize the kit required you to glue each leaf on. That would be a bit tedious to say the least.

That sounds like a good topic for someone looking to take over a profile to use. Suckage in the extreme.
Sorry to hear about the Facebook subterfuge, but at least you reported it. Hopefully something will be done.

'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
Trying to make ends meet
You're a slave to money then you die
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
where all the veins meet yeah
No change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mind
I am here in my mind
But I'm a million different people
from one day to the next
I can't change my mind
No, no, no, no, no, no, no,no,no,no,no,no(fading away)
Well I never pray
But tonight I'm on my knees yeah
I need to hear some sounds that recognize the pain in me, yeah
I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now
But the airways are clean and there's nobody singing to me now
No change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mind
I am here in my mind
And I'm a million different people
from one day to the next
I can't change my mind
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
I can't change
I can't change it
'Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
Trying to make ends meet
Trying to find some money then you die
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
where all the veins meet yeah
You know I can't change, I can't change
I can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mind

And I'm a million different people
from one day to the next
I can't change my mind
No, no, no, no, no
I can't change my mind
no, no, no, no, no,
I can't change
Can't change my body,
no, no, no
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
Been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
Ever been down
That you've ever been down
That you've ever been down

Epic suck on my part, but the music was good.

I know exactly where you are at. With me unable to find a job I spent a great deal of time just looking at walls.
I think my partner and I are moving out of this state of being, but it is remarkably difficult to move forward. The house purchase helped immensely but it is still hard to really keep taking the steps required, even if those steps lead us to our desirable goals.
He has been great, for the most part, and has kept things under control. I have been impressed by his ability to manage our lives as the roles were dramatically reversed not so many years ago. But both of us have agreed that the holding pattern we are keeping is not going to be a long term, viable solution for our lives.
I want to wish you luck, but more than that I want to say I hope you truly find the motivation to move forward and to drag him with you. Once you start moving it is likely he will begin as well just to keep up. But that first step is the hardest.
Thank you - these are all good thoughts.
He seems to be doing a bit better after talking last night. Hopefully he can stay motivated long enough to make some changes.

In all seriousness, are you okay? What's up? Can we help?
He is fine. He was upset with me for being out late. He got lonely and he needs a night out of the house.
