HA! I'm not the only one who loved those things and wanted to create them for real! MMMMmm.....

There's a recipe for them potatos floating around the intarwebs somewhere, dood. I think Tracy Hickman posted them somewheres.

NAKED TATERS FOR TOP!!!

The recipe was also published years ago in the book Leaves from the Inn of the Last Home.

Liberty's Edge

Back from gaming this evening.

We spent the whole time:
1) Deciding how we were going to grow flowers around our new Keep.
2) Listening to a racist jeweler hate on Tieflings.
3) Arguing about the relevancy of crossbows against a brick building.

Good session. :D

We did all finally agree on the name of our adventuring group though. We're apparently the Ironwood Regents.

Don't forget, Studpuffin, you also bought a wagon and brace of oxen and hired a temporary guard. You filed preliminary paperwork for chartering your adventuring group, subsequent to which you can file for possession of the keep you liberated. Then you can plant flowers around Ironwood Keep.

My game has turned into a combination of Farmville and the DMV. Next week, we kill something!

Finished up my brewing for today - a nice Irish Stout. Hoping it turns out OK. Now I'm waiting for my dinner to finish cooking. And after I eat, I might do a movie night - Dark City, or finally start reading Prince of Wolves.
Whats for supper?
Beef rounds in Red Gravy. Just like my Mom and Grandma used to make. MMmmmmm....I sure am hungry.

Why are people always calling the Irish stout? What are beef rounds? Red gravy - isn't that the stuff made from coffee and lard?

@Shiny, vegetarian baked beans straight from the can are still one of my favorite meals, as long as I have a plastic spoon (avoid the metal-on-metal flavor) and a sink to eat them over. Of course, that's by choice. Hope you get something more flavorful soon.

@Paris: Sending you good vibes. Luck.

@Solnes: Luck to you guys tomorrow, too. What BS.

@Zombie I'll be listening to your second podcast on the way to work tomorrow. I've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, and I even rated it. I haven't left a comment yet, though. :)

Just finished writing four pages of material for my friend's campaign setting, plus a 50-word pitch for Steve Russell. Why can't I write this much when I have an actual writing gig to do?

~grins~ So with this be the Wrath of Mr. Shiny, part XXXIX?

Dark Archive

Not too be mean there Heathy, but the normal strategy for dealing with trollish threads only works really if it's in the same subforum. Most people up in the gaming forums don't look down here. It's a good strategy in most cases don't get me wrong just this time you'll have a harder time dropping that one.

meh....I know what I'm doing/not doing.

Seeing as I don't in general have much hope to begin with, I think my expressive dance did what it was supposed to do.

Somebody'll look at the antics of it all, get a momentary chuckle, and their day will suck just a little less.

I'm not out to save the world.

You keep calling me Mr. Shiny. I don't like you. No Mr. Shiny. Only Rorschach. Does that answer your questions, Doctor?

Does it strike any of you as funny that the names of many of the planets on Stargate SG-1 are also names of small towns and cities in Canada?

Yeah. One of the major plot-point planets from season five (I think it was five; it might have been six) was named Kelowna, and I could probably cite others if I had seen the show recently.

DOOD! I gotta find that!!!! I think I actually have a copy lying around somewheres...Also, I'm sure the good people at the dragonlance forum could school us on the recipe at any time and/or have contests on it.

In other news, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING FAWLTY HAUS!!

My cheer is a little forced this morning because someone stole our bath mats from the laundry room last night!!! Either that or they hid them really good. It's my fault for not checking that last machine, but still...you don't run off with someone's bath mats! Now the floor's gonna get all wet when I get out of the shower!!! Grr....

At the day job today we're starting the pool tournament, so here's hoping the people on my caseload do well and have a good time. I'm trying to underscore the importance of sportsmanship, but there are some who will only see the glory in taking someone down a notch. That is an attitude that should be reserved solely for those who are playing games that involve the rolling of dice!

Speaking of games involving the rolling of dice, I actually got some writing done for the Paladins of Freehold yesterday. It's not done by any means, but it feels damn good to go from chicken scratch on an itouch(see!! I'm not a COMPLETE luddite!) to actual msword typan. I'm not sure when I'll be done with them, but now that the floodgates are open it shouldn't be long.

Here's hoping the day is full of fun and excitement. And oh yeah, that I get my bath-mats back!!!!

Hand cramps!! Well I am at work on a Monday morning so that is basically the low point of the week. Although later today when the UM playtest gets posted that should help a bit. Oh well what's new with everyone else?

Good morning to Fawtlies far and near.

Is it true the iconic magoosh will introduce a new player race? I heard it was going to be a giffyankee.

The truth is, Urizen stole those bathmats. But only because he saw AB's old house was on fire.

G%%&!$n it 4 cases of minis and not one bebilith. By the way Mairk I did acquire a second Mephistopholes. If you want it just send me a private message on FB with shipping address details and give me a week, I need to find a small enough box.

Three to hold up the centerpiece bowl of fruit and one for each candelabra. It just doesn't work otherwise.

But you have to admit 36 boxes of minis and not one bebilith is a bit exetreme....... actually it was 40 boxes after using my freebies with every case I bought I got a free booster.

I just really wanted that bebilith, it is becoming my white whale. But I shouldn't complain, I did get a couple hydras which are useful, the zhent army with the guys on horseback and guys in the exact same armor on foot are useful, got a load of skeletons which are always useful. But my only chance now is later on in the week they are doing a break open for the stores single case, my buddy will set aside any bebiliths he finds for me. If that fails, there are a bunch of Forgotten Realms fanboys down there looking for the Manshoon mini that I have. If one of them gets a bebilith I`ll trade for it. But thats the last of my spending money til March :(
