It's a 2 year old little girl she'll be spoiled enough by us with tons of toys.

On another note, BEST ext, has seen fit to lie to the Unemployment commision about my termination, so I was declined my partial UE.
I went down there today, spent 3 hours waiting in line to schedule an appeal, on the grounds that I have a written statement from them that contradicts what they reported. My hearing will be set in 10-14 days, then it will be about 10-14 days after that to process it again, and a week before I get any money. Yay, I love bureaucracy at work.
Sorry to hear about all the crap you're dealing with

Totally unrelated, but I was going through the xkcd archives, and found this particular comic to be FAWTLworthy.
Nice!

Hi all! Hope all is well. I made chicken marsala for dinner tonight and it was excellent. We also went to the public market today, and I got some fantastic produce.
Does that make me old? That I get excited by fantastic produce?
Chicken marsala is one of my favorites!
Your produce comment reminded me: at my old job, I had a co-worker who was Mr. TMI. At lunch, he tells several of us about his trip to the grocery store, and his "arousal" when he got to the produce section. Some of us found it difficult to continue eating lunch. :S

After all I am an Evil Dragon! ~someone taps my shoulder and whispers into my ear~ WHAT?!? ~rereads the Bestiary and Monster Manual~ Since WHEN are Silver Dragons LG or NG? I clearly remember hearing that I was suppost to be NE! ~sighs~ Back to the drawling board. And I so liked those vile feats. ~grumbles and dejectedly kicks a can ~

I hope everyone is having a good morning.
I had to come back to Charlotte last night because I broke something in the code. It's all better now, I think. While I'm down here, though, I'll be able to get some writing done with no interruptions or distractions (other than those I find...).
I'll be here sporadically.

One of the best shows ever! You should also try Castle, Chuck, and Big Bang Theory! I think you will love them! Oh....and Warehouse 13! :D

I used to be really into Burn Notice, but then it went off the air for a bit and I moved out of my old place. Maybe I'll watch a few more eps when I have the chance. I know we found out who burned whom, but I missed even that part.
Not sure about Castle, and I didn't like Chuck when it first came out- if I wanted to watch GAM sans the super suit, I'd just watch GAM. Big Bang Theory is hilarious, but a little too true to life for me sometimes to watch regularly. Warehouse 13 lost me with its over the top cheesiness and crossovers as well as its overall the Friday the 13th TV show/X-Files sandwich-ness. Also, I do NOT like the HG Wells character. However, I really do enjoy Eureka on occasion.

Burn Notice and Chuck are on the list of "TV series my wife and I will catch up on when the kids leave the house."
Thank you for pointing out the connection to Warehouse 13. It bugged me that the show reminded me of another show, but I couldn't remember which one. The plot to the Friday the 13th TV show was always something I wanted to make into a campaign.
I was firmly on the fence about Castle. I'm a big fan of Nathan Fillion (to the point of hetero man crush)--don't let his association with your version of the Antichrist make you think he's terrible--but the show took the entire first season to find it's voice, but it's a great, funny show. It's definitely not the most realistic police procedural, but the cast has a lot of great chemistry.
Also, don't forget Fringe, even if it does have Pacey in it. :)

Well I'll be- ANOTHER FT13TV FAN!!! fistbump
I always wanted to make a campaign based on the idea and run it in Ravenloft, but I didn't have the time. I'm looking at uglychild's Ravenloft/Pathfinder crossover and getting goosebumps. I'm not sure if I want the items to be the things that can undo Ravenloft or not, but if I do, I definitely want in-character PC cabals that oppose each other with respect to destroying/preserving Ravenloft as a demiplane.Studpuffin |
Hand cramps, everybody.
We've got one heck of a thunderstorm here. The sky was lighting up like the fourth of July, and the strikes couldn't have been more than a block or two from us this morning. The rumbles and crash (plus the sounds of our two 60-70lbs dogs running around scared) awoke me this morning. They're such silly beasts.
The art festival is here this weekend, and all the tents had to be shut down. The Irish festival down in the park is still going though!

I don't know how you guys find time to watch TV and play video games. All I do outside of work is prep for our next session, write for extra stuff players want to do, and run online RP's on chat.
I need a life outside of Westcrown.
OTOH, we do have real-fantasy-life "is this evil" stuff going on. The party captured some bandits, isolated the two leaders, and talked to them individually. One player, talking to the female leader, let slip something potentially damning to the party and to the whole movement revolting against the demonic rulership of Cheliax. To prevent the information from going further, she immediately killed the woman, who was bound, helpless, and already badly injured. The party, after some deliberation, slew the other leader, her lover, because he'd sworn to get vengeance if anything happened to his gal. He was also bound and helpless.
The other options were to release them, turn them over to Hellknights for certain excruciation and long agonizing death, or turn them over to the town guard, who might not prosecute them because their crimes occurred outside the city walls.
So, two of my good PC's just executed bound, helpless, injured captives, with the blessing of a LG cleric. No pallies, but still. One PC was NG, the other LN. Fun stuff.

Hand cramps, everyone! Well I have one more paint color to put on 3 of the desert boards and then just need to do some vegetation (i.e cactus, etc). To clarify the boards are in some variation of 11", so the smallest is 11"x11" and the biggest is 22"x33".

Solnes, I've always thought that 75% of hangover symptoms were fatigue and low blood sugar. I feel pretty hung over after a dry all-nighter.
Mr. Shiny, hang in there. It really sucks when you can't even turn to music for solace. I hate places that reserve all the music facilities for majors only - one uni let us peons in the organizations, but we weren't allowed to audition for seats. To the bottom of the section with us! As for people who start acting like bigwigs when they get a little power, there's a special level of hell reserved for them. Not a terrible one, just a tremendously irritating place.
Sharoth! Look behind you! A halfling is sneaking up on your hoard!
Oh Mairkurion, I never expected to see you mud wrestling.
LPM, hope things go better for you Monday. Good luck.
