Thanks the Castle age app on FB, I'm statting up a new monster. I was inspired by their sea serpent picture. It's a colossal sized monstrosity with no limbs and a draconic face with a large maw of fangs. I think I may stat one for future use. May even give it the dragon turtles breath weapon. It just looks cool.

Way too many posts. What did I miss?
Well, despite the best attempts by the CDC, the Army, NASA ,and PBS, a rare sentient fungus known as Taximilieusannodomini continued to spread. Across town, several people had gathered to discuss politics, until a freak mudslide came along and swept them all away. Meanwhile, Scott was beginning to wonder if those damn penguins...No, wait! that's my soap opera.

@AZ: "Meet the new troll, same as the old troll ...."
Lemme guess, someone new has come on the boards full of opinions that have been flogged here ad nauseum, yet feels compelled to throw his two verdegrised pennies into the toxic waste containment pond, and it's attracting all the big old trollfish to the surface.
*sigh*
Thanks again Taig for helping me figure out how to avoid the rest of this subforum. Like HD, I used Wisdom as a dump stat, but I am taking a few new feats like Ignore Troll and Laugh At Bitter Zealot which will hopefully keep me calm and focused on gaming.

Well, finally caught up on the new thread. All the new avvies are freaking me out. I looked through the new ones, and there is one that I like, but I'm not really sure I want to change. Decisions, decisions. :)
Had a fun (and long) night of gaming last night. Our characters have thus far managed to die repeatedly in this small dungeon. Granted that has something to do with the module throwing everything and the kitchen sink at us in rapid succession. And the DM has finally agreed to take over the NPC healer so I can stop playing her, since part of the reason we're dying so much is my divided attention. :)
Sounds fun. Which module are you playing?

My son, who just turned 16 two days ago, will be testing for his less restrictive drivers license in 15 minutes. I know how you feel. :)

Now.
I am not learning a bunch of new avatars. These things aren't like haircuts, they're like names. You can't go changing them all the time.
Sheesh.
I'm still the same, baby!

Interestingly our drinking/pool team currently has two Ph.Ds and five masters degrees on it.

Really hoping this stomachache lets up so I can get some sleep. It seems that Bryce and I picked up some sort of virus. Either that or we ate something that was bad. But he at least was able to get to sleep and stay asleep, so I have some hope.
Well, if it keeps bothering me I guess I'll just work on my painting some more. It's all good. :)
Either way, good night all.
I hope you feel better, Lynora.

Very good, Jeremy.

Q1: What were you doing in your time away from the messageboards?
Interview me? Aww, shucks... *blush*
Well, I was mostly lurking. I'm a pretty heavy poster over at CandleKeep and on FaceBook more these days. But mostly it's because of work and life just piling up. I'm trying to make some (big) changes that I can't really get into and it takes up a lot of time and energy.
I've also been helping a friend as she's writing a novel, detailing three different campaigns (a home-brew Pathfinder, a d20 Modern Flash Gordon and a Shadowrun campaign), compiling a complete listing of all the published deployments of BattleTech units and catching up on some reading.

It's funny, BattleTech was pretty low on my list until a convention a couple of months ago where I played marathon sessions with Medron Pryde* & friends. Then I picked up some of the new books and started checking out stuff. And, like Michael Corleone, they pulled me back in.
*BTW, he's most effectively been using the Quick Strike rules to get large unit battles resolved in less than five hours. Units with 12 mechs and 12 support tanks/infantry. On each side.

in other news...
Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooood morning FAWTLHAUS!!!
The meeting at the second job went well until I discovered my boss at the second job is resigning to go back to school full time!!!!! I am going to miss that guy- he is truly, truly great. One of my former coworkers is now my new boss, and I'm thinking is positions was turned into two positions which means I truly have two new bosses now, one for the fieldwork and another for the internet work(who is the same as the old boss). I'm a little miffed that promotions weren't handed out all around, but I dont' think this company is large enough to do that.
That's about it though. It's raining and humid today, so I think I'll actually be able to spend some time with my father in law and uncle in law, the latter ended up staying with us suddenly because of a fight he got into with his brother who he was staying with during the wedding. The house is now crowded, but we aren't really rubbing elbows too much because I've been busy at both jobs when I wasnt' at the wedding. I'm sure my uncle in law will talk my ear off, however....
I may also slip into manhattantown today to pick up that BEAUTIFUL plot hook deck I've been jonesing for. It just might make my reputation house rules go big!

Haven't played since Second Edition though (played a couple of games of First Ed. then when Second Ed. came out we bought some, but never really played). :(

It's unfortunate, but I dont' get much of what you're saying on this aside from the most basic terms- I'm a "Clickytech" player, which means I get booed and spat on and things thrown at me when I'm not thumbing my nose at the neckbeards of the hobby. I truly loved the fiction that came out of Dark Age, and I enjoyed the game rules and minatures(although I felt they should have used a grid instead of a paper ruler) and I am often roundly maligned for it. But that's okay. kicks rock

I can sorta understand why people were upset about Hit Girl. She was the best character in the movie, though.
Plus Nic Cage's Adam West-Batman dialog killed me.

Second ed is where a lot of the spirit of Shadowrun is, in my opinion. However, I understand the need for the storyline to progress, and so I hold no grudge against future editions of the game. I only own up to 3rd though, I think a friend of mine gave a 4th pdf but I haven't read it yet. I'm wondering what 5th will be like.
