real Italian is good. That reminds me that I need to go see my godfather again sometime soon. He lives in Long Island it's about as close to New York as I can get.

I would love to visit Italy! My grandmother went several times and loved it dearly.
Food wise, I think most meals would tear my tummy up badly.

I thought about you guys alot, though... :'-(
And with that folks, I am out of here for the day. Gotta face the elements to drop something off at the second job, then to home to get some sleep/put away laundry.
See everyone in the funny pages.

I would have thought so (mostly because any travelling tends to work black magic on the digestion), but found it to be quite the opposite. Because all of the food is so fresh, I never had an inkling of stomach discomfort (even less than I would have had at home). The foods are generally unprocessed and unpreserved, almost never fried, and full of fresh vegetables and healthy oils.
Nobody should eat that much carbs, though. That part got to be too much.

Lots of tomatoes and peppers though, which make my ulcer mad. I miss tomatoes. :(

A lot of authentic Italian dishes aren't what we think as Italian

This is true, although tomatoes are still popular.
But, case and point, I had spaghetti and meatballs at Olive Garden. There is no such dish in Italy.

If you fail they bore your brain out and pour in lye to make sure you don't make the rest of them look bad. I heard that from a friend of a friend of a friend, I think his name was Gary. He definitely was into psychology. Definitely.
