So, looks like I'll be able to keep my Paizo subscriptions and my wife. Good thing, too, for the s&#& would have really hit the fan when the Ravenloft box showed up next month.
Let me know how the Serpent Skull turns out. I hope to pick mine back up when the Horror one starts up in six months.

My forebears invented haggis. There's noplace from there to go but up. And there's nowhere for it to come but up.
They get really mad when we ask them to deep fry turkeys. One overturned a car in a fit of hungries.

And thus comes to an end the summer of spontaneous pathfinder games. Its been a great summer with them, I'm going to miss them all. Probably won't be all together again until December.
It was my son who actually got me and my wife into tabletop gaming after all these years. Dern son. Gets us hooked and then bails out on us.

Stupid festival. It rained this morning, the humidity shot up, and the festival was nearly void of people. The sun is starting to set and the temperature cooled and now they're out in full force.
It's supposed to rain this evening too, I hope there isn't a stampede to get back to their vehicles. There are a lot of people out there now!

Everyone could sit down together over a slice of PIE and let you know their thoughts on how it's coming along.

And the wife is happy as well. Scrambled my brain a little bit. I've been noticing a little bit of weird motor functions lately.
Thanks all for the warm wishes!

I missed the LPM!!!!
It was bad dude, Jenny was REALLY scared this was it. She was about to go beat my bosses arse before her mother stopped her.
Most of the servers and my KM are VERY mad at the GM right now. Plus they are kissing my ass to make sure I don't sue.

So the first try I get Cornish Pasties and he gets a steak sandwich. Mine is flat, tasteless, and greasy. His is awesome! I get it the next time and am pretty happy.
This week, I got adventurous again and ordered shepherd's pie. Can't wreck that, right? As I ate, my thoughts were, "You know, I could take this home, add some more beef, add corn instead of this dry cornbread, pour some gravy on it, and it won't be too bad." Then it hit -- they are just a garlic mashed potato supplier.
Brought the leftovers today and soaked them in canned chicken gravy. It's edible. Of course, StudPuffin's potroast was amazing!

Well the LPM is glad to see you alive and well.
So what the hell happened? I missed the tale if you shared it.
I was at work and got stung by a bee. The one guy in the building who shouldn't get stung, got stung.
I took my epi pen for I was having trouble breathing, paramedics showed up and I woke up in the ER. I was having a seizure for about 30 minutes.
The GM of the place knew about the beehive for 3 WEEKS. He didn't want to do anything about it except tell me to "stay away from that part of the building". Then they spread into our dry storage. And thats where I got stung.
According to the doctor, I very nearly stopped breathing.
I hate bees, and my GM got a mouthful too. He is VERY lucky Jenny didn't go there, she was (is?) probably going to kick his buttocks.

Damn, you'd think he'd have gotten a damned can of BeeBop or something. Or did he think it was a funny allergy like in the movies where you'd turn in to an oompa loompa or some such bullshit? Moron.

Yes, a discussion over Serpent Skull would go well with PIE. I am a fan of strawberry myself.

So I had to be the bad guy again.....
My husband and I are moving to Glasgow Scotland next year, we were both looking forward to the big move, the exciting new travel plans and all. However his sister, is now too a point were she can no longer support herself and her 1 year old daughter. We already send quite a bit of money her way, but it now looks she is going to move with us, mainly because we will be both making very good wages and career options. So now we are both to be working toward very good careers with a little girl in the house and his sister Kate. I had to put my foot down and make it conditional, I said that I have no problem helping to raise the child nor helping his sister, but if she is going to be totally financially dependent on us she has to go to school and get training in something to get her a job. I made it very apparent that she is to get into a school program by the end of our first school semester period there, and once she is working she is to find her own place. Even after that point both my husband and I have no problem supplementing her income to make sure everything will be fine, even babysitting when needed. But this this is also our time in our life where we want to have fun and relax, and we shouldn't have to sacrifice all of it.
I wish you luck with this. It sounds like you're doing the right thing.

Morning everyone. Trying to resist urge to hide instead of getting ready to go to work.
Alas, I'm trying to move back to PA in the next month or so.
That is, if companies I interview with would actually TELL ME if I'm hired or not... Professional courtesy is dead.
+1!
The house rental market out here is insanely hyperactive too. The property management firms don't even bother to call people back to let them know someone else got the house. Some times they don't even show up for showings.
I'm amazed not only by the low standards are getting lower every day, but also by how we just kind of seem to accept it as expected.
I'm noticing a trend towards lower-paid, less-qualified employees in the IT world.
