Hey CJ --

You the one who suffers from Fibromialgia (sp?). My wife suffers from the same thing. (And "suffers" is a pretty good word for it.) We heard from friends/doctors to try taking Vitamin D supplements. After taking that for 2-3 weeks, she feels a lot better overall. I'm not saying that it's a "cure" but it does seem to really help her manage her pain and generally feel better.

Just thought you'd like to know in case it might help.

That's interesting. Diane and another lady in our Saturday group are both on Lyrica. I'll pass this on to them.

A theory of ours is that the primary source of Vitamin D is the sun. She doesn't get out all that much and she has very fair skin and so when she does get out, she makes sure that she is pretty well covered in SPF 500. I have a strong feeling that sunblock blocks the absorption of vitamin D.

From Wikipedia -- "Vitamin D also modulates neuromuscular function, reduces inflammation, and influences the action of many genes that regulate the proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis of cells."

"Neuromuscular function" is very much what Fibromialgia is all about.

Again, I'm not a doctor, but this is a nice easy over-the-counter thing to try that at least has helped my wife.

Thank you for thinking about me, I however am not the one with fibro. I can not actually think of a time when it was mentioned. My wife however does have a mild form of this and some of this information maybe useful to her and I shall pass it along. She is very light colored skin being of Nordic ancestry and as such burns at the drop of a hat. I have other health issues to deal with.

Now that you mention it, I think it was Allynbard (sp?) that I was thinking of. Anyone seen or heard from him recently?

Only on facebook, he has been ill.

Someone started this thread.

Is it wrong of me to think <I'd like a trap for an offensive bear>?

RPG Superstar 2012

Never mind...

Liberty's Edge

I like him. He has spunk.

He'd've gotten more players with Pathfinder, though. ;)

Ok here is a picture of my total book collection which isn't much shamefully.

OK add another 2 of that and that's just my RPG stuff. Then add in another 1 of that and that's my RPG Novels. Then add another 2 of that and that's all of my other Novels.

I have 8 Book cases around the walls my double garage. 4 full size (taller than me) and 5 half size that are pretty much full. This doesn't even cover my cards and board games.

~sighs~ 131 MB to go before the latest City of Heroes update has downloaded to my computer.

2 shelves of RPG stuff that I have kept out and 32+ magazine boxes full of RPG stuff that I have put up.

Oh, and 8 bookcases full of books with more to be shelved once I get more bookcases.

~sighs~ I was wrong. It was 231 MBs left to go. I am now to the 200 MB range. ~sighs~ I might as well go put in a DVD while I wait.

You explained the pants thing, so I'm cool with that.

Are you talking about the latest "I can't let this argument go until I get the last word in, thereby proving my superiority" Troll, currently tyring to earn the title of biggest douche on the boards?

This is way too early for me to be up on my day off. It is pouring down rain. My oldest is about to go wait for the bus in the rain. I on the otherhand, shall soon go back to sleep.

PS. I hate a public utility who turns your service off the same day you get the disconnect notice. Morons.

That would be the one.

Naw that title has long been held by........ a person who would give Mos Eisley its rep.

I still say LPM should have brought me back my Bear skin rug back from Paizocon. Oh well. Hard to catch a bear when they run away.

I didn't get my first month's Time Warner bill at the apartment, so I got my disconnection notice last week. Then, I got 3 automated phone calls asking me to call them. I ended up paying the bill, through another automated system. Through all this, I had no actual contact with a human being.

I just went ahead and flagged some of his more noxious crap. Eventually, he'll push things too far and they'll boot his ass permanently. Can't come soon enough, though, if you ask me.

Emperor7 asks himself the question, "Will the Boards stay active today?". Then he stops to think, "Why is E7 talking in the 3rd person?"

Next he announces the concept for "Third Person Day", or also "Mr. Fishy Day". He wonders if it should be once a week or once a month?

E7 thinks you should be asking, "When did Sebastian get some alien booty?"

Celestial Healer wrote:

Scientists have successfully spliced pony and alien DNA, inching Sebastian's lifelong goal of world domination closer. E7's brain has locked itself into 3rd person mode for some unkown reason. Mr. Fishy may be behind it, or is experimenting on his own plan for world domination. 'Control their speech and you will control their minds', Mr. Fishy is overheard saying to his fishbowl minions. Oh wait, E7 was supposed to tell you about his soap opera...

Gooooooooooooooooooood morning Fawlty Towers!!!!

Last day at work before the boss returns. I've got a last few pieces of paperwork to squirrel away and then I'll officially be up to date. It's bliss when the boss isn't here because things actually get done. My supervisor forgot her keys, so I gotta go do some running around. See everyone eventually.

Almost time for the 1100 University of Kentucky vs Windsor basketball game in Canada. It is a second game after they played Sunday evening. UK also played someone else last night, so there legs should be shot by now. Wahoo! Laterz.

I absolutely hate card games. If I could take every single magic card and make one gigantic bonfire, I would gleefully do so while dancing naked in drunken debauchery knowing I had destroyed the abomination.
