hope its ok but being a big game hunter I hope its ok that fantast at least knows its genis.
That, friends is a dinosuar. Word has it that there are plenty of em where we are headed. Its current state is them at their best. Dead.
He pets grudge behind the ear and then slides off the back of grudge, he opens the creatures mouth and grudge uncermoniously rips out one of its teeth. Fantast opens a pouch and grudge drops it in.
I'm sure we can leave it and let the locals eat something exotic.

Longsword! Right, my bad!
Lavina arrives, with a grim look at the gatherec heroes.
'Well done, you've certainly displayed your prowess today! I'll see about having the guards launch an inquiry into this accident.'
Captain Venkalie nods a foot behind the noblewoman.
'We'll get the ship ready in a jiffy ma'am,' she announces.
'Okay you lot, hop to, we can wag chins once we're on board, we're far behind schedule!'
The Captain bows to Lavinia, then looks at you all expectantly before turning to stride back to the Sea Wyvern, shouting orders.
Sir Percival de Looupe |
Sir Percival, introduces himself to Markus in a meek almost apologetic tone, "I am Sir Percival de Looupe, I couldn't but overhear your disappointment at that creature tearing your shirt. After such a brave display of courage perhaps I could help." Sir Percival quietly says a few arcane words and a blue aura shows around his right index finger. He wipes his digit along the tear in Marcus's shirt and the threads rejoin to create a perfect shirt again.
He gingerly follows the others up the gang plank onto the vessel. He stumbles slightly as the ship gently rocks, unsteady on his feet. You get the impression this is a new, and not really pleasant experience for him. Behind him scampers a small brown and fawn mammal with a long body and a smiling mouth full of sharp teeth. Sir Percival stoops down to pick him up and gently places him in one of the inner pockets of his coat.
Sir Percival de Looupe |
Sir Percival smiles at Mouse, "Oooh yes, it's not a problem Mouse, glad to have met someone here to call 'friend'. I am just sorry I wasn't able to contribute a little more in the fracas, I'm not one for fighting really, but if my humble magical abilities can help you in any way, then please do ask. So what brings you on this journey?"
If Mouse is willing, Sir Percival will talk to Mouse so get to know him, why he's here and what was he doing before he joined this band of adventurers. Sir Percival will tell Mouse similar details about himself, he's not secretive, just a little shy. At the end Sir Percival will let Mouse call him Percy.

Marcus, unlike Percival, is very open (if somewhat boisterous)and comes across as very charming.

Feel free to continue chatting amongst yourselfs.
The final loads of supplies board the ship, and as the last of Lavinia's three ships the Sea Wyvern leaves dock as it nears sundown, towed out from harbour until its sails unfurl and it follows after the rest of the small fleet. Night sets suddenly in this part of the world, and the air is hot and wet as you catch your last glimpses of Eledar.
Fantast Retnuh |
Fantast nods to Haldstat,
"Grudge here could use a bit of mending,Angradd by praised. That one looked like it was a plant eater. its teeth were mostly flat. So I am a bit confused about that myself. However, I will say that tossing something like that in a random spot could do a bit of damage think of what that tail could have done on the ship. I think someone wants us to stay home. Whether they are from here or from our destination is yet to be shown. When I was young there was such an attack on the small village I was raised in. Some mites managed to capture something called a tatzlywyrm, they chained it and made it sleep, left it in our town at night and boy did it wake up angry, ever since then I've made it my business to hunt anything bigger than a horse."
Grudge smirks at the dwarf. "as a gnome a question, get his life story."
Fantast looks down and bonks the beast on the head. " Quiet you!"
The beast returned quip for quip. " as if any one has another choice around that mouth of yours."
"Well, if this ship ride is anything like most then I'm glad to have had the chance before the looooong journey."
Marcus "the Mouse" Dana |
"Greetings everyone. Heck of a first day, huh?"
Marcus is leaning, his back to the rail, turning a silver compass over and again in his hand. Golden accents mark the item in several places. "Anyone seen are beautiful benefactor, or the captain for that matter?" A smirk, the same smirk that has disarmed many a maid, appears on his face.
Sir Percival de Looupe |
Next to Markus, with his hands and knuckles white from holding the rail is Sir Percival, he turns to Gerain and says in a slightly quivering voice, Well met sir, I am Sir Percival another of your fellow travelers. I can understand your companions trepidation at this sort of travel. I must say you and your companion did wonderfully well against that creature today, I'm glad we have such fine strong and brave men with us in this expedition. What is it sir that you are looking forward to when we arrive?"
Grudge |
Grudge smiles a toothy grin and rolls into a hunch on his back legs, instead of the lazy belly flop he tends to prefer. his four upper paws, pop and sizzle with electricity. I am hatred incarnated. I am the great and terrible, and I am...joking. Grudge grins, the only reason it doesn't look terrifying is that his eye brows are raised so high it looks comical. I am an eidolon summoned from the plan of Erastil, lately my kind have taken a liking to the whismy of mortals. And thus have found those we can most relate, fantast and I tend to have a common interest in big game.
Fantast waves a hand at him. Don't worry about the big oaf, he isn't interested in hunting the intelligent races, Your companion is called a Gorilla is it not? Very interesting species.
Gerain the Huntsman |
"Well, nice to meet you, eidolon. Sounds like you two and Rasputin and myself have much in common. We are also hunters of game ourselves."
Turning back to the gnome from the strange creature, Gerain says, "That's right, he's a gorilla. Very smart one, to tell you the truth. He likes the hunting as well. Guess he feels it keeps his senses sharp, since normally he just hangs out with me."
Fantast Retnuh |
"Lovely! Have you thought of teaching him to weild a great sword or axe? Perhaps an earth breaker. I mention it because his hands look up to the task and those arms looked more than capable of packing a punch. Grudge and I have considered trying to get him some implements but his paws tend to do more than enough.
Fantast Retnuh |
Fantast holds up his thumb. it's all about these buggers right hear. wiggling the digit back and forth and then shrugs, I suppose you're right. Oh well, I suppose we should get settled in below deck before we get in a sailor's way and all the prime realestate is snatched up."[/b]
Sir Percival de Looupe |
Sir Percival, quietly thinks about the length of time it will take to travel. He did all he could to read tomes about the island, the answer is on the tip of his tongue.
As he considers this, he remains quiet and a little withdrawn.

Fantast, I just realised you don't have your spells up on your profile.
Captain Venkalie appraoches you as your conversation slowly subsides.
'Well Gentlemen, we should take a week to reach Ollo to restock. After that we're out in the Arcadian, its a dangerous place so stay sharp, your our specialist muscle. After that it's Azlant, which is a sodden Hell-hole we're skimming at the southern end. Finally out into the sea again, the last stretch to the Isle. We're heading for Farshore on the southern end of the Isle.'
'Get some rest, we have a long few days ahead of us, and we'll need you to have your sea legs by the time we get out to the ocean.'

The trip will take 2 months, you'll arrive at Azlant mid way through week four.
Marcus "the Mouse" Dana |
Having, for the most part, spent his youth on the streets, Marcus has, long ago, learned to sleep anywhere. He will check for an empty bed or cabin first, but if he finds none he will head to the cargo hold and find an empty space to sleep. He keeps his sword close by, a habit that has worked out for him so far.
Halstadt Morgrym |
Hal makes sure everyone is whole in body before finding a quiet place to meditate and regain his expended divine energy.
After resting Hal will spend time getting to know crew members and seeing if there is anyone suspicious. Hal assumes that one failed opportunity to sabotage the trip will not stop a determined foe, evil rarely rests!
I will discreetly use Detect Evil when I feel it is warranted, taking it for all 1st level slots for this day, let me know if I should make a sense motive or any other roll while investigating.
Sir Percival de Looupe |
Sir pecival spends the first part of the night looking for somewhere comfortable to sleep. Eventually, he finds somewhere he can bed down, although not up to his usual standards he can rest without much trouble. It reminds him of the days he joined his father and brothers on their adventures and hunts and the discomforts that bought.
He will first study the ship by walking round as much as he can and second ask to help with the navigation, his strengths don't lie in the physical tasks of the common sailor.
Will have the travel spells up later today.
GM Eoin |
The crew consists of 20 persons including yourselfs and your companions. The holds are filled with foodstiffs and supplies for the distant colony, and plenty of resources for the 3 month trip.
The crew members include Captain Venkalie, your half-Ulfen shipmistress, her first mate Skald, an odd looking man with shifty eyes, the ship navigator a wizened old Taldan man called Urol Forol, the Mwangi ship chaplain of Gozreh Fezuhmba, the cabin boy Tavey Nesk and 15 sailors of Chelaxian or Mwangi stock.
The second day passes relatively quietly, with good winds driving you on towards Ollo in the pirate-run Shackles.
I'd like everyone to make Diplomacy checks, this will determine how the crew take to you.
Sir Percival de Looupe |
Sir Percival listens to Halstadt and is impressed by the dwarf's thoroughness in discovering all this. In a quiet moment Sir Percival self-consciously approaches Halstadt, "Morgrym my good dwarf, I was just wondering what you think we should do with this information. I could perhaps find out a little more about them, if you so wish, but first we need some knowledge about these chaps. We could do with knowing if they meet and are together, for then I might have a chance of listening in on any plans they may hatch. Maybe you could discover if they eat together, simple things like that. If that's what you want to do, perhaps you can get some of the others to watch those chaps?" He listens to Halstadt's answer and continues, "Should there be anyone who can quietly look inside Skald's room, then I might be able to aid their investigations and make them much harder to spot and make them disappear from view. I will do my best to know more about his cabin, I might be able to discover if there's any other intelligent creatures in his cabin with him. Would you like to help with that later?"
In Sir Percival's wanderings around the ship and learning it's layout, I assume that he would know where the first mate's cabin would be? He will also let Halstadt organise any activities, Sir Percival does not take the lead in organising the party.
Later that day, when Skald has returned to his cabin, Sir Percival casts invisibility on himself and stations himself outside Skald's cabin. When there is no-one who can notice, his mind penetrates the wall seeking out intelligent life forms in the room.
Casts detects thoughts, but stops after 2 rounds, not wishing to penetrate the minds of Skald just yet. If Halstadt, says he doesn't think this is something he should do just yet, he desists from these actions.
Halstadt Morgrym |
Halstadt smiles at Percival, "Excellent, I was hoping one of us would have such abilities. I am more of the straightforward type but I believe this investigation calls for discretion. We are hired help and accusing fellow ship mates of wrongdoing will need strong proof. Let's see if anyone else can help you with this, stealth is not my strong point". Hal looks for the rest of the group and asks them all to assemble in one location the next morning after breakfast to discuss.
GM Eoin |
The crew warms to you all over the next few days, and you develope a comraderie within them even Captain Venkalie to a certain extent. Tavey decides that Gerain is the greatest hero on Golarion and follows him when he is off-duty, though he is shy of Rasputin.
Sir Percival de Looupe |
Sir Percival meets for breakfast with the party as Halstadt requested. Quietly he speaks to Halstadt, "Morgrym, I found no sign of extra intelligence in Skald's room when I walked by last night, and I might venture to say, Skald himself is no great shakes in the cranium area, pretty average I would say."
He continues with his breakfast, removing those parts of the food that look like they've already been half digested by insects and the like. Paercival waits for someone to either request his aid, or tell him and the party more about the 3 crew members movements and habits.
