Hey all, if you're like me you have a ton of game files, images, pdfs, etc on your computer. Here are a bunch of icons I've made to make all those folders look a little nicer and be recognizable at a glance. You can download the zip file of them all from [link removed]
All icons created with the help of ConvertIcon...go make some of your own and post them up!

I'd be careful about distributing images that belong to others; even if you're not making any money from it, you may still be violating copyright law. (And from a glance at your previews, it looks like you are.)
Paizo has a Community Use Policy that spells out how you can legally redistribute some of our copyrighted material—please familiarize yourself with it, and adjust your package as needed.
As for other publishers, I'd advise that you check to see if they have similar policies. Some do, some don't.

So, if I were to take any image off of the blog or the community use pack (say, a faction flag) and just shrank it to the size of an icon and saved as such... would that conform?

Ok, testing the water with a new package of icons.
Sin Rune Icons.. a package of the 7 sin runes in the form of icons for use on your computer.

One thing I've noticed with ConvertIcon is that for everything to run smoothly the file needs to be in a square format, preferably at 512x512 or 256x256. And don't try and include a size larger than your source on the screen where you select the sizes. See if that helps..

It sounds like there are two locations. I'd make certain, triple check if you have to, that both locations are identical.
It sounds like Can I Call My Guy Drizzt?'s (I suddenly hate your name now... :-P) files are in a different location from yours. That would explain why you find his/her icons when you look for yours, but can't see yours. And the reverse when trying to save.

Haha! Mission accomplished! It comes from an inside joke with my gaming group. We decided to allow a new guy to play with us and as he goes through character creation it becomes clearer and clearer where things are going until he asked the dreaded question.. "Can I call my guy Drizzt?"

Not quite what I meant. I've seen your name, and had no problems with it. I've read your name, and had no problems with it. When it came to type it out - and try to capitalize properly, I had a problem. :-P
I did guess the source, in broad terms, though. I find many new players try to "emulate" a favorite character from some piece of fiction a little too much. In other words, nearly plagiarize. (The most recent example being Capt. Jack Sparrow.)

You know, I'm glad you mentioned that one. Before just looking I would have bet several bajillion dollars that Old Scratch was on the blog. I guess I was confused with the Gold Goblin statue. Going to delete that zip now.

I do that all the time when adding stuff to the wiki. I often save images from artist's websites, deviantart, etc. to my hard drive for future use, and have now started keeping CUP images in one folder and non-CUP stuff in another so I never accidentally put something on the wiki I'm not supposed to. I also went through and added every legal image since the start of the blog to the wiki all in the scope of a few days, so I know there aren't any (at least I hope I didn't miss one) that have slipped through the cracks.
