Looks set to be a really fun game, albeit highly unorthodox in 4E terms with a bunch of 'bad guys'.

I'm planning on unorthodox. It's not going to be a 'hey, heroes, help us with this' sort of game at all. While there might be some times you get quests from people, when you do, it will be to get aid to further your own goals, a sort of payment.
And, you'll likely stumble into adventure along the way. I hope to get us started this week.

Oh, no, it works in Google Docs. You just have to do it for each row and column individually, as far as I can tell. That's why I just use the spreadsheet in the Document function instead of the Spreadsheet function. It's a lot easier to make the cells nearly square.
I'll work on figuring it out. I'm learning mapping as I go, at least electronically.

1. First -- click on the box to the left of column A to select all cells.
Welcome to level 2! Hope everyone liked the first adventure. Some things to take into consideration as you move forward.
1. Heroic Tier will be mostly a survival story. There won't be a lot of conventional adventure along the lines of 'Person A asks group to do Task B'. You will find adventure, just not in normal ways.
2. All of these original group members can now take Spellscarred Feats should they desire. This would not apply to any replacement characters.
3. Due to the same energy that made the spellscarring possible, each character who did not get a +1 main weapon/implement has one now. If there is one on your wishlist, that's what you have. If not, it's a plain +1.
4. Lastly, you can make as many changes as you like at this point to a character. You can even do a full rewrite if you want. I like the way the group has meshed, but if there are elements you don't like, swap them out.

Yes, I like Vernal very much and the whole group. I will take a look at him though and see what works for him. He might go spellscarred, but I'll see when I've had a fiddle around.
Woohoo! One Ki Focus of Elusive Action for me!
Anyway, retraining Twilight Adept for Acolyte of The Veil(Assassin multiclass, use Shadow Step as an encounter power) and taking Pointed Step Style(flurry someone up to 2 squares away with a spear) and Harmonious Discipline(Encounter, minor action, gain 2 Temp HP and when those run out get +2 damage to next attack). I'll update my sheet later.
Vernal should be a lot more functional now. I realise that what I did when swapping him from his Assassin build was decide to go with the the Wis based Mantle and then change my mind about the powers to go with the Con based Mantle and never re-arranged the stats. I've now done so and altered all his powers.
He spellscarred, but hasn't taken any feats to reflect that yet. His level 2 feet allows him and anyone within 5 to gain a +2 to their move on the first round of a combat.
Bend Space is his new utility. It's a Wis base, but just seemed so right for him.

Do we get an extended rest (or the benefits of an extended rest) for leveling up?
Yes. You did have one, just you were all asleep during it. You were out for a while, though ICly there's no way to tell that.

Hi gang, I'm afraid to say that I think I will have to drop out of the game after this combat. I'm probably going to be taking on a new game as a DM which will take a up a lot of time.
It has been fun being one of the bad guys, with my evil brothers no less!

So, we now have two Defenders, a Leader and a Striker(that's also a pretty good Controller). Assuming bmars posts some more if I poke him in Xabulba's game, that means that we've got two strikers that can do some decent control. Sad to see Fabes go, but at least we should be able to handle ourselves just fine without him.
It'll be sad to see you go, Fabes, but I think I can come up with a way to write Malize out that will allow a future return if you want.
