Hoppin' Robbo |

Holding his hands up in an offer of peace, Robbo speaks slowly and evenly to the angry half-orc, "Whoa whoa whoa, cool it big fella'. We're here on commission from the Camlin town council. You all aren't perchance the party we're supposed to be meeting up with are you?"
Robbo Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Krill Thirstslaken |

*pulls himself together*
"Uh, hello, a dramatic introduction eh? I'm Krill. As my companion said, we're from Camlin. Just wondering though, whose javelin is that?" *points to the javelin held by Karg*
"I don't think it is ours, 'cos whoever threw it should be nearby lest Karg would already fallen had it not. I would hope there aren't any foes left in hiding."

Krill Thirstslaken |

*involuntarily give a slight shiver*
It's cold, didn't notice it before.
Krill offers each new companion a hand in greeting. When it comes to the half-orc's turn, he gives firmer grip, gauging his strength.
Strong, maybe as strong as I am?
*grins*
"To begin with, I am currently on my kembara, something each disciple of my order has to undergo..being the inexperienced fool, I blundered through my finances rather quickly and to make amends, I signed up with promises of a share of the loot to help reacquire some stolen treasure with the Camlin council. So I set off with my friend here with that purpose in mind."

Hellefire |
I usually bring up character and game mechanic questions on OP, but...That strength comparison made me take a look, and the numbers seemed odd, so I did a quick count - and it looks as if Krill is a 25 point character as per the character creation guidelines, but Fubar - I keep counting and it seems like you are only a 20 point character? Can you count your points again? It looks like you're shorting yourself some. If that is true, go ahead and shuffle your ability scores to bring it to a 25 point character.

Hoppin' Robbo |

Nodding as Krill speaks, Robbo chimes in when he's finished, "Big Krill here tells it true in regards to our mission from the council. As for where I come from 'fore that, I've been traveling around the southern years for the past few years and heard tell that there were fortunes to be made in the north, so here I am!"

Azhateran Slug |
Well, as to fortunes and rewards and splitting shares and such...for missions around here sometimes there is regular pay, but its usually a share of whatever artifacts and relics you pull out of the ice - assuming they are unchallenged. Now these artifacts, their ownership is challenged by the Tengu. As far as we have been able to discern so far, they may be right. We still have a reckoning to handle for the deaths they caused in recovering the artifacts, but it may be that they had more of a claim on them than the peopel who brought them to Caimlin, We are currently investigating that. On the way, we were attacked by two starving yeti. Not knowing they were starving children, we defended ourselves, and killed one. We managed to make peace with the other, and just met their father. Their mother was killed by the original party who was treasure hunting here, and we just took some kind of yeti blood oath to bring back the dead yeti childs body, and teach this one, who we have named Karrg, to speak Common. Within a month.
I'll fill them in on the other details, such as the ice fortress and such, as well.
So, you are welcome to join us, though there isn't really a share of anything to split so far. If nothing else, I am grateful to you for saving Karrg here. I feel something of a strong bond to him for reasons I do not understand.

Vardara |

Cay gestures vaguely in the direction they've been traveling. "I'm slightly doubtful that we'll get there in time to salvage the body- but it's our quest."
"True if some beasts have tried eating it. But I have no idea if the Yeti are judged edible or not by the wolves around here."

Caydee Brunland |

Cay shakes her head. "Nope. Our resident cleric took care of that a while ago. Anyway, I'd suggest that our resident cleric," she looks pointedly at Ahz, "take some sleep while he can, but he's usually stubborn, so I'm going to leave it at that and go to sleep." With that, she returns to her bed roll, sets her bow down beside her pack, and falls asleep almost immediately.

Hoppin' Robbo |

Robbo shakes the big half-orc's hand and replies, "No offense taken big guy, I'm just glad you're on my side." Turning to the rest of the party he looses a yawn and says, "I think I like the sound of this sleep business. We've been traveling for quite a while and I am positively exhausted."
Robbo sets up his bedroll and unless he is further interrupted, goes to bed for the night.

Vardara |

The young woman, unarmored and bearing an enormous earth breaker had not spoken yet, but at the priest words, she frowns and hold her hand out to him.
"Wait, wait wait, Azh. Do not try to bow out of your duty. It still is your watch. Both Caydee and I have already taken our turns and we need the rest. So YOU deal with the newcommers to settles new watch turns, but if you want me to be able to cast anything tomorrow, you better let me sleep."
Turning back to the newcommers, she smiles and gives them a loog look Uses detect evil on both of them.
"Sorry, with these two men, you have to be very carefull, otherwise both Caydee and I would end up doing all the chores. It is the same with the priests in the temple. If you do not tell them what to do, they will assume you're doing it. I'm Vardara, by the way."

Hellefire |
Krill and Robbo, through some strange time warp that 'just after dark' turns into well past the middle of the night. Exhausted from the strangeness of it all, you bed down and get some sleep.
The rest of the night passes uneventfully. The girls and newcomers awake to the smell of Ahz' breakfast cooking...

Caydee Brunland |

"Glorious food!" Caydee wakes well-rested; no one has ever told her that elves don't need as much, or as deep, sleep as humans. "He's stretching so that he doesn't injure himself," she tells Fubar, though she really has no idea. Combing out her mane of red-gold hair with her fingers, she goes over and steals a large portion of breakfast. "Thanks, cookie." Giving Ahz an extra 'thanks' in the form of an affectionate punch on the shoulder, she proceeds to wolf down her hot breakfast.

Azhateran Slug |
Ahz winks at KD. Enjoy it, might be the only thing warm for today. Now who's on washing dishes duty....
Ahz will try to triangulate as best he can the direction and distance to the valley where we first met Karrg. I will also use comprehend languages and ask for Karrg's help with this, and to help with Karrg's mornign language lesson.
survival check for directions: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
linguistics check for karrgs help and lesson: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Hellefire |
Karrg does well with language lessons, aided bythe comprehend languages spell. He seems to understand where you want to go.
Karrg doesn't seem to remember how to get there though.
Ahz' seems extremely certain in which direction the valley lies, and that given the weather and intervening terrain will take 3, maybe 4 days to get there.

Vardara |

As usual, Vardara only eats cold and does not approach the fire more than necessary.
"The plan ? That's easy. we follow both of these to the yeti corpse, then we come back to meet their parent. Well the parent of the yetis obviously. And then we go on exploring this place."
