Twelve years ago, as one of the worst winter storm was keeping everyone shut inside in Camlin, Haluk Greenblood was awoken by a deep voice speaking in his room. It said,"Wake up and open your doors. I bring her to you so you can raise her. Take care of her".
Opening the temple doors to the cold winds, he saw a young girl, clad only in a grey dress, curled around an enormous hammer, fast asleep despite the cold.
Taking her into his arms, he decided to call her Vardara from the Vardar, the snow bringing wind that howls through Camlin's gorge during winter.
Despite Haluk best efforts, he could not find anything about her origins and Vardara had no memories of her early childhood. Thus Varda was raised as a child of the temple for the next 12 years. As first destined to a priesthood, she was found to be too savage and light headed for this calling. She was constantly jumping from idea to idea and often ended in a fight with local kids about her origins. Still, she has an innate talent with the Earth Breaker that was found with her and could use it instinctively. She was then oriented towards the paladinhood where it was thought she could be tamed. Midaway through her training, she seemed to develop strange powers like being able to concentrate the wind energies around her to deflect blows or cooling her weapon to freeze whatever it was hitting. This confirmed Haluk faith that Asterius was looking over this girl.
Now 18 years old and a newly ordered paladin, Vardara has turned into a strong minded woman with a warrior grace. a devout of Asterius, she is still frowned upon by some people of the temple for her strange behavior and her restlessness. As such, she is most often send out of town on patrols missions just to get her out of the town's people way and into the cold weather she does not seem to mind.
