Hi all very new to pathfinder played a mountain of 3 and 3.5 however has combat massively changed in your view..
In regard to feats tactics ect what are your thoughts....
More simplistic. Less math. Less feats. Less rule checking.
I just use pure Pathfinder and it severely uncomplicated the game.

There are only less feats in the sense that Pathfinder has fewer total feats than all of the 3.5 books combined. Otherwise there are more feats.

The biggest and most obvious change is that most special attacks, such as trip, grapple, disarm and sunder now follow under a unified system called "Combat Maneouvers". Read up on those. Otherwise, it's as the above posters has said: Most things are the same, but a few changes to make things easier.
And medium & heavy armor gained an armor class point.

I mean that I'm not lugging four Complete books around with my Book of Nine Swords and my PHB and DMG, checking up to three books or the WotC forums for answers to questions that come up during the game. "How does X work?" doesn't lead to a hunt for the specific rule through the book pile anymore-- and since it's just one book, the person who would usually ask that question just looks it up themselves instead of monkey-chaining their splatbooks around.
It's nice.

It's FASTER, which is awesome. Having Expertise and Power Attack be static simplifies things, and turns go more quickly, which is really important to me.
As for the combat maneuvers, they seem to be simple enough that everyone gets it. So, that's a win. I didn't think the 3.5 grapple rules were that bad, but I knew a lot of people who just gave up trying to understand them, so maybe they were confusing.

In addition to above posts, I noticed a big shift in how Cleave works as well as Feats for single attacks (for fighters who can't get their full attacks while in pursuit of that Spring Attacking enemy).
Ultimately, though, it's gotta be the CMB and CMD, which have made life much simpler (er...combat that is).
