Newb question.
On the Valeros Fighter pregen at the back of "Crypt of the Everflame" he has +3 and +2 with his duel wielding,is this because he is "proficient" with both weapons (longsword and short sword)and does not incur the -2 to both weapons from TWF?
Also, one of his feats is Weapons focus longsword which says "Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus on all attack rolls you make using the selected weapon."
so should not his +3 on the sheet be a +4?
thanks in advance

Don't have the sheet here, so can't tell in this case, but a fighter is proficient with both weapons. If he has the two-weapon fighting feat, he should take -2/-2 penalties on attacks with both weapons. Thus, his attack bonus which each weapon should be (during a full attack):
Base attack bonus + STR + Other Mods - 2.For example, if the guy is 1st level and has 16 strength and WF (longsword) he'd have AB 1+3+1-2 (+3)/1+3+0-2 (+2). This seems reasonable. Could those be the stats of the char, I'd guess, but since I haven't seen the sheet I don't know.

Yes, stringburka, you guessed correctly.
His Base Attack Bonus as a level 1 fighter is +1.
His Strength is 16 for a +3 bonus to hit.
So we get a total of +4.
He is dual-wielding (but has the Two-Weapon Fighting feat), for a -2 penalty to hit on both weapons, so we get each weapon at +2.
He has Weapon Focus (longsword) for an additional +1 to hit with the weapon, so we get longsword +3 (and shortsword stays +2).
