This collar is a heavy leather strap with a platinum buckle, often ornamented with jewels or spikes, but sometimes plain. The magic of the collar increases the magical connection between an eidolon and its summoner. An eidolon wearing such a collar can travel up to 10,000 feet away from its summoner without losing any hit points (see the life link class ability). The eidolon is still dismissed to its home plane if it goes beyond that range as normal. Unlike other magical items, a collar of escape remains worn by the eidolon as it travels back and forth between its home plane and its summoner's home plane.
