I get home from Cincy, I catch up, you're listening to crappy music, I'm not going to find out what was #1 on my important birthdates, and you're all leaving. I mean, WTF people?!

:P

Half-Prices (visited three) were pretty tapped out when it came to gaming books. So what did I do with my 50% off coupons? I picked up theological books at one and at the other two, Harry Potter soundtracks 2 & 3. But of course, I plan on using those in my Acadamae campaign.

Some lucky dude in front of me (yeap, getting there when it opened this morning before mass, there was actually a guy in front of me for the gaming section) got a like-new PH and Spell Compendium. I would have been tempted to have gotten the PH for someone who would have needed it.

Didn't get to visit any today. *sobbing woefully*. 50% coupon went unused.

What theological books did you get?

1

2
3

Okay, 2, is not technically a theological book, but a devotional one. Thanks to Mrs. M, who checked out separately with one of my multiple coupons.

Uh, did anything interesting happen in the last 41 posts on the last page? They've been eaten, apparently.

EDIT: Oh, wait, just ghosts. Which doesn't make sense, since this page showed up fine.

*Urp*

The #1 and #3 would hold my interests. I am pretty sure I've seen #3 up here used as well.

I've been kicking myself for not picking this up when I first saw it. I actually went back two days later to get it and it was already gone. :(

There's Ghosts in the Machine....

Meh. Gnostic gospels are the faddish thing of the moment, of little real value, in my professional opinion.

Edit: Kruelaid, baby mama wanted me to tell you that you and my daughter have something in common. You're both in China.

Actually, I was more interested in the return to Jewish literary devices and nomenclature. Sometimes I feel that certain things are left out from a philogical p-o-v as there are usually nuances or play on words that aren't picked upon.

Nice!

The waiting is just a preparation. If you can't hack the waiting, you don't want to see what comes later. ;P

This is one reason I love reading anything from the pen of Robert Alter.

I see he did one for the Pentateuch. Anything else?

One of my favorites is when Harold Bloom put out his version of the Book of J.

I like prog, but never really got into Yes. Only song to this day I still know is Owner of a Lonely Heart.

I was referring more to Nickelback as 'crappy'. :P

Nickleback makes crappy look good. Yet another reason we should point nukes at Canada...

Heh. OTOH, I love Rush and Voivod.

Voivod? Yeah. And I love me some Metric.

Rush? Well...

2112 has it's moments, but I never really got too into them. I was too busy tearing stuff up with Minor Threat, Bad Brains, X, Black Flag, Misfits, Ramones...

HD -- have you ever heard Slayer's Punk tribute album?

Now I'm also jonesing for some old Suicidal Tendencies...

<sings> I Saw Your Mommy and Your Mommy's Dead! </sings>

EDIT: And I did see D.R.I. a couple weekends ago; got a snap with Kurt Brecht.

Undisputed Attitude; it came out in '96.

He wrote on the Psalms, the Wisdom literature, and Biblical narrative in general. Bloom... maybe I've beat up on enough people for today.

So I have a week off due to the craptacular nightmare week from hell at work and come home to 1,182 new Posts... :/

I simply can't bring myself to do it, even though it's killing me, so I'm sorry if I missed anyone's Posts directed at me.

Mmmmmm.....morning.

The Exchange

Morning, are we ready for another week of this crap?

Good Morning. Ugh. Coffee is brewing.

Slow morning, broken site.

Where are my new messages counter? *shakes fist*

I can see new messages in parentheses.

By the way, everyone can redirect candlelit outdoor prayer vigils back to Emperor7's brain and HD's baby. I forgot to mention that my order finally came Saturday afternoon. Once I'm done reading the first Imaro book, it is on to Silver John. Stolen Lands looks great.

I see you.

Briefly.

<uncovers eyes>

Peek-a-boo!

<covers eyes>

HAW HAW HAW HAW!

Got yourself an extra cup of coffee yet, I assume? ;-)

I can see new ones starting from now, but I lost all the ones I hadn't read previously. Plus, all the Dots on my PbPs (amongst other Threads) are gone... 8O

Also, what did I miss?

Bleary day.

Need to put the speed on.

Well, I'm offing myself to bed.

Have a good day everyone. :)

Aaagghh! The light! It burns!

Actually today is starting out as good day #2. Not really sure if I should trust it. The passing of the sinus headache has made a BIG difference. But thx for the thought. :)

So, HD is it true you're naming your daughter Seoni? ;)

Silver Crusade

I'm so checked out...

Sovereign Court

Monday... blargh...

Good / Bad.

Good - Day #2 begins with no sinus headache, and just my usual recovery headache. Man, what a difference!

Bad - Billings are starting to get posted on my health account. Aetna is kind enough to share them with you right away. Ugh. Well, it looks like Aetna deems MRIs as investigational or experimental. WTF? Maybe the hospital billed them incorrectly. Anybody know about such things? I've filed questions regarding them with Aetna, but would really like to avoid the $800 in charges.

'Til then, I'll rejoice in feeling better.
