Some lucky dude in front of me (yeap, getting there when it opened this morning before mass, there was actually a guy in front of me for the gaming section) got a like-new PH and Spell Compendium. I would have been tempted to have gotten the PH for someone who would have needed it.
Didn't get to visit any today. *sobbing woefully*. 50% coupon went unused.
What theological books did you get?
3
Okay, 2, is not technically a theological book, but a devotional one. Thanks to Mrs. M, who checked out separately with one of my multiple coupons.

The #1 and #3 would hold my interests. I am pretty sure I've seen #3 up here used as well.
I've been kicking myself for not picking this up when I first saw it. I actually went back two days later to get it and it was already gone. :(

Meh. Gnostic gospels are the faddish thing of the moment, of little real value, in my professional opinion.
Actually, I was more interested in the return to Jewish literary devices and nomenclature. Sometimes I feel that certain things are left out from a philogical p-o-v as there are usually nuances or play on words that aren't picked upon.

This is one reason I love reading anything from the pen of Robert Alter.

I see he did one for the Pentateuch. Anything else?
One of my favorites is when Harold Bloom put out his version of the Book of J.

:P
I like prog, but never really got into Yes. Only song to this day I still know is Owner of a Lonely Heart.
I was referring more to Nickelback as 'crappy'. :P

Nickleback makes crappy look good. Yet another reason we should point nukes at Canada...

Voivod? Yeah. And I love me some Metric.
Rush? Well...
2112 has it's moments, but I never really got too into them. I was too busy tearing stuff up with Minor Threat, Bad Brains, X, Black Flag, Misfits, Ramones...

HD -- have you ever heard Slayer's Punk tribute album?
Now I'm also jonesing for some old Suicidal Tendencies...
<sings> I Saw Your Mommy and Your Mommy's Dead! </sings>
EDIT: And I did see D.R.I. a couple weekends ago; got a snap with Kurt Brecht.
Nice! And I haven't heard Slayer's album, I'll have to check it out.

He wrote on the Psalms, the Wisdom literature, and Biblical narrative in general. Bloom... maybe I've beat up on enough people for today.

Once I'm done reading the first Imaro book, it is on to Silver John. Stolen Lands looks great.Aaagghh! The light! It burns!
Actually today is starting out as good day #2. Not really sure if I should trust it. The passing of the sinus headache has made a BIG difference. But thx for the thought. :)
So, HD is it true you're naming your daughter Seoni? ;)

Good / Bad.
Good - Day #2 begins with no sinus headache, and just my usual recovery headache. Man, what a difference!
Bad - Billings are starting to get posted on my health account. Aetna is kind enough to share them with you right away. Ugh. Well, it looks like Aetna deems MRIs as investigational or experimental. WTF? Maybe the hospital billed them incorrectly. Anybody know about such things? I've filed questions regarding them with Aetna, but would really like to avoid the $800 in charges.
'Til then, I'll rejoice in feeling better.
