Have fun buddy.

We're already home. We did the natural birth, with a midwife. China was good to go four hours after giving birth. Her and Arwen are sleeping in the bedroom right now.

Did she try to grab your bottom lip and pull it over the back of your head?

Natural Child Birth

I accidentally gave my wife my left hand to squeeze during our first. That wedding band hurts when your hand is getting crushed. :S

I understand it hurts at other times too...

She was seriously hard core. I don't know if I could have done it, and I'm not exactly a wimp.

This is the best high I've ever experienced. Blows everything else I've ever seen/done away...

I'll never forget the moment the nurse handed me my daughter, all red and wrinkly with little bits of cheese stuck here and there. I looked into those big grey eyes and everything changed forever. Yay daughters! *Goes back to figuring out how to sharpen his stage longsword.*

I felt that way with all 3 of ours. And even now, when I get mad at some of the stuff they may do, it never really goes away. Get ready buddy, cause it's one hell of a trip. :)

How dare you compare her mere two hours of suffering to my life long battle with contractions. They'll never stop coming! They can't be compared fairly! Don't you realize the vast difference?

I was stunned when my son was born, it was such a happy moment. Most of it is a blur now...

Oh, Mairkurion, your just fine with contractions. Your being too hard on you'reself. There not the enemy, you know. Its something weave all had difficulties with from time to time. Dont let it get you down.

I got me the Star Wars Soundtrack on LP and the Imperial March on 45.

Of course, I've got nothing to play them on.

Your daughter has more hair than me, this isn't looking good for me.

But again congrats man, and apparently she gets her mother's looks :)

Still have a small collection. Late 70s vinyl is the bestus!

Studpuffin wrote:

Still have vinyls from the 80's and 90's. Picture discs, too. Been awhile since I've last played them, though.

...which reminds me. I had no problem getting rid of cassettes for CDs and VHS for DVDs .... but I really couldn't part with my vinyl. What gives? Hm....

It's the cover art, every record was a peice of art. That and music is more closely tied to memory than any other medium. Thse records are a testiment to our misplaced youth.

First record I ever bought (and I still have) would have been Journey's Escape back in '83.

Top 5 80's movies

1. Blues Brothers

The mischevious side of me likes to go to a youtube site of crazy barking dogs and thus get the bulldog to start sounding off as well. Hehhehe.

I like the sound of vinyl.

Had a house fire back in '97. Long story, short. We had a Magnavox stereo set we bought in the late 80s for $300. The insurance company made us replace the pieces of the set rather than the whole, as each piece was written off. We had to shop for a turntable that matched the features of our basic one, and got a Sony for $250. What dufuses, penny-wise and pound foolish. Eventually all the pieces got written off, and we ended up with a $1k stereo set.
