Mosquitoes? You mean the humming, bloodsucking seagulls?

No, I mean the swarm -- where you go down to the Fox River, but you can't find it through the cloud of mosquitoes.

That is awesome. I'm actually kind of surprised that anyone here knows about that area.

We are trying to get a fundraiser going for Homes for our Troops. It was Kellens idea, and we just need to get our ducks in a row to get it all started.

I preferred rafting on the Wolf or picking bodies out of the Des Plaines.

My last visit to chicago ended up with me watching the Bears, barfing, billygoat tavern visit, and having my girlfriend walk in on me watching the end of Clerks II. Sheila and the sexy stud anyone?

Heck, even I'd want to join. Never lived there, but it is on list of places I'd like to live before I die. And I've watched enough Married with Children, that I think I qualify as an unofficial Chicagoan.

The other thing I really miss is REAL Chicago style pizza.

Liberty's Edge

Mmmm... Pizza.

Is it still pizza if you cannot eat it with your hands, or is it a casserole at that point?

Parachute cord. The wristbands in question are the braided cord bracelets that some of the kids wear. We have talked to a couple of Gaurdsmen about possibly holding an event at the local Armory. It's a work in progress, but we want to do something to help the men and women who risk everything buy/keep their homes.

Does it have to be brand new? Any chance of getting old cord donated from schools, etc? Not sure what kind of shape it would be in since you ain't gonna get me within ten squares of a parachute.

shadowing.

I'll have to remember that. I always thought I'd like Chicago.

I hadn't thought about it, but you've got an idea there m'dear. I'll have to look into it. We've already contacted the charity and will need to file with them so people buying the bracelets know that it is legit. All profits will go to the charity. :)

This is your President: John Henry Eden. Come sit 'round the fire while I tell you about growing up as a boy in Kentucky with my best friend, my dog. I will tug at your heart strings to instill a sense of pride in one guy in Megaton while countless floating eyeballs roam the countryside attacking giant scorpions and super mutants who need dialysis desperately. Thanks for tuning in...

Chicago's a great place for a visit. Bring your walking shoes and stay downtown during the summer. Walk along the lakeshore, feel the cool breeze, watch the sailboats and rollerbladers, and visit the museums. The aquarium has a nice pod of beluga whales. There are museums galore for whatever strikes your fancy: science, technology, art, history, architecture. When you get hungry, stuff yourself silly with Chicago style food *or* ethnic food in the local neighborhoods. Shop the Magnificent Mile if that's your thing. Just go!

LOL. I made him kill himself. :)

I am currently P.O.'d though, two of the wandering traders were killed outside Megaton by a group of about 9 Raiders. I just wasn't fast enough to save them. :(

Maybe a Chicago institution will offer me a job in a couple of years when I'm ready to move.

Liberty's Edge

That sucks. I had one guy get killed just north west of DC near that town with the "super dupers".

Hmmm. I wonder if we could get our hands on some Golem Blue cord and sell those at the Con? Provided we got prior permission to do so by the folks at Paizo. And provided we get everthing filed and in order before we go.

My gorram Blackhawk is gettin' pretty damn hard to maintain.

Chicago has many fine educational institutions, including Northwestern University, the Harvard of the Midwest (for what that's worth!).

EDIT: Shameless plug for my alma mater, as SP says.

Hell yeah! But I use that gun as my primary, and there aren't that many Scoped .44's out there to repair it. It and the Mini Gun, and the Double Barrel Shotgun from Point Lookout are my favorites.
