Drive by postan.

Spoiler:
It's been a looooooooooong weekend with respect to the second job. Friday night was no fun as my coworker for the evening was almost an hour late. I wasn't about to stay out until 3 in the AM though, so we ended the shift on time at 2 am. Yesterday was no fun as my coworker for the evening was a half hour late, though we ended the shift at 2:30 am. Worst of all was that I was responsible for last night's shift report which had to be in at 12 noon today and ended up being in at about 1 because I overslept. Both days the train was giving me hell due to construction; I actually saw the sunrise this morning before bed. Here's hoping I don't get chewed out for the shift report being late. Not to toot my own horn, but I got all the contacts for my shifts this weekend, which is a rarity, so it may be a bit of a "Great work, now NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!" at the next meeting. On the bright side, the Month That No Dice Would Roll ends next week as the Darklight Sisterhood game starts up again on the 5th, so at least July starts off on a good note.

Still. Blarg.

Meh....it's Sunday. Whoever needs that report is still asleep even now.

Nah, they check the timestamp on monday.

I know, I feel ya; it's just one of those things that in my mind only artificially matters; it's not like a shareholder meeting will get held up because Saturday's numbers were in an hour late on Sunday when nothing happens but mowing of lawns and/or hangovers.

Truth be told, I'm more pissed at myself more than anything else. God. Overslept. On a sunday. When all I have to do is write a report. I mean, the shift got off to a late start and I was exhausted, but still. I should have done it before I went to bed. I just hope the work that I did keeps me from being chewed out TOO badly.

Right on; I hope you'll be okay too.

I had to mop up the saltillo tile with towels at 1 in the morning due to a busted toilet pipe. I slept well, but now I ache all over.

Oy vey.

If you don't get better soon, I'm going to mail you some spicy garlic chicken soup. It kills anything that fails its fort save - including the patient.

That sounds counter productive. It also sounds like it can kill vampires.

It hurts a lot, especially when your throat is sore, so it must be good for you, right?

I was a wake at the time. Had I been asleep, it would've been a hell of a lot worse; our furniture could have gotten ruined. The pipe that connects the plumbing to the toilet popped off and started the flooding.

I may resort to some extreme measure here soon. Just slept a couple more hours and got up. Well, not up, but semi-vertical.

Are you sure everything in here is up to code?

According to my mom, the pipe popping off is something that is prone to happen once in a great while.

Very strong coffee?

That's not an extreme for me. But saline rinses and garbling with a very hot concoction are.

As anyone seen my glasses? As seem to have mislead them, and I need them for stabbing and blasting.

Back from the trip and grocery shopping with my kids. We had frozen pizza and garlic bread for dinner.

Evidently, July 4th weekend started Friday. It took us until 1AM to find a hotel room. Not so fun.

I hope you all had a good weekend.

Taig: glad you're back. I hope the room was your own major ordeal, and that otherwise you all had a good trip.

The Exchange

Long day today. Kids sent off to scouts. They will be back in about a week.

Watching Book of Eli much better movie then I thought it was going to be. Gary Oldman continues to impress. I am thinking of watching the Road next. Just in a post apocalypse mood I guess.

We will be sending letters to the kids at camp, we would love it if they received letters from a lot of people. Anyone feeling like taking the time to send them a missive or just a post card please email me and I will send you the mailing address. This needs to be done soon though so they can get them while at camp.:)

I want to see this simply for the Fallout 3 similarities.

Hey, I'm going to be at a family reunion for about a week starting on Tuesday, so I probably won't be on. You are forewarned.

It's in North Dakota. It'll take more than that.

Back home again. Need to catch up, but at least that's done on this thread. Maybe some people are relieved to get caught up on content during my absence? Hm.

Monday morning! And isn't it just a beautiful day? The birds are singing, the sun is shining. And is that a rainbow I see? Yessiree, I sure am looking forward to one swell week.

Gooooooooooooooood morning FAWLTY TOWERS!!!!!!

Forcing the cheer a bit because I'm apprehensive about what the day may hold for the second job. In terms of the worst that could happen, I guess they could fire me, which would hurt because I truly love this job. The workload is considerable, but for the first time in my life I'm doing something that is related to what I want to do for a living. Note that actually losing my job over this would be a bit extreme, but it would be the WCS. I guess this is getting to me because I really don't know what to expect. Still, no sense in beating myself up over it- I've got a day to get through.

The weekly game *should* be starting up again tomorrow with a new DM and a new player. I'm not sure about how much fun it's going to be because I'm sure the mungos are bringing in another mungo and the game will dissolve into a long drawn out discussion of rules lawyering, munchkinizing, and eternal optimization, but at this point I don't care- I just want to see everyone around the table again.

Finally, This month is almost over, which means I'm really looking into getting my plane tickets for VA to SC and SC back to NY. If anybody knows of any deals, e-mail me or post or somethin'.

AZ, you're the cheeriest zombie I've ever met. Undeath must really agree with you.

Got a room full of physicians waiting to learn about the Electronic Medical Record application, and since I'm the trainer, I gotta go. Let the training begin!

Good morning, Fawtlies old and new. Looks like another day of slow recovery. Might go back to sleep.

By the way, I was reminded why apartment living isn't all that great. The upstairs neighbors decided to, um, get jiggy around 3:30 this morning. Hooray.

Hey guys hows it going. Gotta work tonight. But got a day to catch on my soap operas (mostly Dr. Who, True Blood, and Penn and Tellers BS). Then another long night of paperwork.

Yeah, the trip wasn't pretty good. Overall, my mom is holding at where she was the last time I visited. She was happy to see the kids. Some paranoia is starting creep in, especially in regards to my aunt. She was upset that my aunt was keeping phone numbers from her, so I tried to give them to her. She could only read half the numbers, and she didn't understand that she didn't see a full phone number.

Also, Mairkurion, I hope you get better soon.
