What is the starting in game date for the campaign? I must be overlooking it if it is in the book.
Page 40, in the handout for the exploration charter, states that the charter is witnessed on the 24th of Calistril (February, in Earth months). Assuming the charter is witnessed on the same day it's issued, the Feast is on the 23rd of Calistril.

The original took place in 4710, but I'm not sure if they updated it for the rerelease.
I think that is left to the GM. I can think of good reasons to set it either in 4710 or in the "present".
In any case there's no "canon" date that any AP from first edition officially takes place, aside from being within the 10 year span until 2e came out. The year can be flexible to your groups demands, if desired.
The primer on Brevoy in volume 1 of 6 of the 1E ap has a declaration that on the 21st of Kuthona(December) 4699 that 6 months have passed since the Vanishing. The first paragraph of the chaper that follows says that a decade has passed since than putting us at 4709 and the charter for the PC's is dated in both 1E and 2E the 24th of Calistril(February). So logically we can assume the in universe start date is on or after Calistril the 24th Oathday(Thursday) 4710AR. Otherwise 10 years 9 months and 3 days since the Vanishing which is the major political event that really sets the campaign in motion for Brevoy at least.

We did not update it. The events of Kingmaker 2e take place at the same time as the original. If we updated it to fit with 2E, then there's already a kingdom in the Stolen Lands, among other awkwardness.

Generally, APs are assumed to have started in their equivalent publication year - so 2010 would be 4710.
