Unfortunately Sean McGowan's Rictus must have barely missed the cut somehow.
I really hope most everybody just sticks with statting up their own monster, even though they don't have to. Alot of criticisms of the concepts seemed focused on suppositions of how the stat-block would look like, so I want to see how the authors themselves would pull them off.

Wow, pretty close to the actual vote results. 15 of the 16 "projected" winners advanced.
Yea. I was the only one that didn't (projected position: 8th of 32. Actual position:... less than that).
And now that I'm done pouting, it's very easy for me to see how the liesinger would be disproportionately favored by the forum regulars and hardcore RPGSS fans (as opposed to the casual readers who make up the bulk of the voting pool). It was pretty out there.

We have to pick someone else's monster though, we aren't allowed to do our own.

I think you misread the round rules. Contestants must select one of the other 15 advancing monsters; they may not select their own.
