Hi All!
I'm looking for some help/direction in regards to getting some Pathfinder events at an upcoming con.
The Con is Fear the Con and it will be in the St. Louis Area on March 12th and 13th.
We'd love to have Pathfinder represented there. Is there a specific person we should talk to about this?
You can reach me at chris at feartheboot dot com or chad at chad at feartheboot dot com. Or just reply here.
Thanks in advance.
Chris

... for those skimming the forums, this is as in "fear the boot" podcast.
Sadly the podcast really really loves Rifts and talks about Rifts all the time (when not talking about larping). It would be nice if they had a game like pathfinder to talk about.
If I knew for sure if I can swing down there, I would sign up to run pathfinder events myself.

Yup, we're the Fear the Boot podcast, and sadly you are wildly misinformed about our podcast. We do mention RIFTS from time to time, but not in the loving way you think. :)
And LARPING? Again, well some of the hosts believe if you are standing up at the table, you are LARPing. Not as much love again as you might think. We really simply focus on practical gaming advice and subject matter, regardless of system.
As far as getting down there, you should log on to our forums (www.feartheboot.com - click on the forums tab) and check out the Fear the Con Thread. We've got carpool groups forming, room sharing threads and a host of other things.
For the ticket price, which includes all the free beer and pop/soda you can drink, plus extremely cheap concessions, not to mention the free World Wide Wing Night on the 17th before the con, it's a pretty good deal.
Would love to see Pathfinder represented more.

This is sooooo not true. I listen to Fear the Boot every week and they do not love Rifts or talk about larping all the time. Okay, they may talk about larping a lot, but that isn't because they like it. (It's usually to make fun of it, but if you listened to the LARP special episode, you would know that they make just as much fun of themselves, if not more.)
I've been listening to FtB for a couple of years now and have been desiring to go to the Con, but alas, its a little out of my reach and budget. If I could go, I would be more than willing to run Pathfinder a couple of slots. But I would also want to try the amazing games that the hosts offer as well.
Good luck with the Con guys!

Ok, there's this new thing going around called Sarcasm? Have you heard of it? because I'm pretty sure that's what he was going for in that post. At least that's how I read it. <shrug>
Didn't you get the memo? The internet has absolved sarcasm in all forms. Everything in this thread is literal. If you haven't learned by now that Fear the Boot is a podcast full of hosts with no sense of humor who love Rifts and Larping, but abhor FASA Star Trek and Battletech. On top of that all they talk about is crunch. OMG if they would only let loose and RP a little. Geesh!
