Oh so tempting.

Away with you, evil-doer!

Scholarship opportunity fell through due to an oversite on their part. Well, there goes that...

show me the post

what was the oversight? If you don't mind my asking

Deadlines. Stuff was supposed to be in last Tuesday. Will go into it in greater detail when posting from home.

gotta hate deadlines. well going down for a nap before work.

Well, that sucks.

Taig: I loved the two corgis you did, but the krenhar-pei and blink monkey are even more awesome. If you can work one or more of these into a Open Call or something, do it. At the very least, you should get them into KQ. Good job! :) P.S. Oooo, doppelrat?!

Sorry to here about having to do your own job review. I hated it when I used to work for the big company. Always made me feel like the manager didn't care enough to find out why they were giving me a paycheck. Hope you are less bummed about yours now.

Lynora: Sh*t! I'm really starting to think some a**hole moved and has the celestial post office forwarding all his bad karma to you. >:(

I'm not that fond of thyme as a spice, so I can imagine how vile it must be as a tea. The most effective cough drops I found were Fisherman' Friend, but I hate the taste of them. Hope you physically feel better soon with no infections, and the kidlet doesn't give you any more trouble for a while.

Solnes: Congrats on your academic success and best of luck on your finals! :)

David and Patrick: Hope you two are feeling better soon too.

Woodraven: Sorry your depression is back. Let me know if you want to talk (or vent) about it, ok?

Solnes: Yay for kids behaving! I also enjoyed My So Called Life.

Celestial Healer: Short response: Hope things are going better. I'd type a paragraph or two more, but you would never see it once it got buried a few pages back. ;)

But I'm actually reading the thread this afternoon! :) (Not that you have to type anything, of course.)

That royally sucks. >:( One of the local colleges (formerly a community college) was on the news because of over a hundred grant- and scholarship-assisted students dropped out because the college was over a month behind processing payment and paperwork. The students were getting the run around when they followed-up, but still getting pestered by the college to make their payments. &*%$#! The reporter found out the college gutted their staffing and reduced more to part-time to save money, yet the college dean and upper management still got raises to their already large salaries.

It's this kinda stuff that has the local unemployment at 13.8%-13.9%.

Sorry, rant over.

If you don't remember I won it on the Paizo FB fansite. I am soooo STOKED!

What a day, what a day :)

Congrats Pat, that's really cool news, oh BTW, I hate you. ;P

Wasn't sure, didn't know if your Internet usage was being watched or boss was hovering.

So: Yay for good review and glad you enjoyed it. Sorry to hear about the family pet passing and everything simmering that boiled over as a result. I'm glad your SO has such a positive influence as you in his life, but ugh, it can really suck to be stuck as "the Rock of Stability."

Hope your parental secret turns out to be nothing too dramatic or traumatic.

Should have an easy time ahead of you, it's been slow lately.... of course now that I've said that, there will be 30 pages by the time I get back home.

Hi Ambrosia m'dear, Bye Ambrosia m'dear. So is this the start of your return? :D

Greetings, Lord Moorluck the Legendary Invae-Slayer!

Spoiler:
Not sure, in weird headspace right now. Got awful (but expected) news, now waiting for the dissociative fog to wear off so I'll know how badly I'm gonna feel.

I wish Santa had delivered my new brain for Christmas. The old one works like it was wired up by 1970s/80s MG or Jaguar manufacturers. ;)

Well if you ever need to talk, or just blow off some steam, you know where to find me. I do hope everything works out as good as can be.

P.S. My brain is wired up to a 1971 Ford Bronco, so I know how ya feel.

TMI:
It was expected, but I still immediately disassociated when I found out. I'll probably be semi-numb to any emotional peak or valley for a couple days, then it'll hit. Don't know if it'll be a little bad or moderately bad until then. Probably cry for a bit, add another regret on the list, and be cranky for several days.

It seems weird to "watch" detachedly how the emotional clockworks in my head work, but be unable to do anything to stop it.

Edit: Yay, I've sucked all the air out of the thread. :/

Naw, you're an awesome guy, and if it wasn't going to get sent to me, then I'm glad it was you. ;)

I am eating pie for dinner.

And (hugs) for Ambrosia.

Rats. Well, I didn't recognize any FaWTLies in the Top 32. Sorry Taig, Patrick, David, and any others who entered.

Yeah. That really sucks. Still, there's always next year.

Dark Archive

Sadly, one of the ideas was very close to one that I had come up with. That is what I get for second guessing myself.

How often do they have these contests?

Dark Archive

Once a year.

More bothersome questions for anyone...

What was this contest? Magic item creation? Is there one such contest each year or each year is there one multple category contest?

Yeah, and you and Taig (Patrick and Freehold probably too, but I haven't seen your stuff) would have done awesome in the Round 2: Monster Design challenge. Bummer.

It's nice to see Matthew Morris get in there in back-to-back years. Did anybody else repeat?

This round was wonderous item creation. The next roundis monster creation. That will cut it down from 32 to 16. Then the next round will cut it down to 8, then 4, and finally 2. That round in past years has been a full fledged adventure proposal.

Wow, Morticia and Gomez need to let you out of your box more often, Thing. Sorry, couldn't resist :)

Not to be petty or anything, but may I direct you to the Original Congratulations to the Top 32 thread. I encourage folks to prefer that one.

My condolences to those who tried but didn't make it this year. May next year be yours!

True, I just haven't spent much time "exploring" the Paizo site outside of the OTD forum.
