Please don't. You would deprive a great number of people of the joy of incessant whining at the unfairness of it all. Have a heart. It's Christmas.

Undead dragons love to eat hearts for Christmas ... 'specially once their pet lions are done doing their thing. :P

You just like to repeat yourself in the same thread. My example of a dracolich was just used because of the number of times one is roaring across my screen every day. :)

Indeed, Paizo has a habit of giving the fans what they want if enough people want it. :)

Sphere of Annihilation, Deck of Many Things, Wish spells... do I need to go on?

You forgot Color Spray... truly a spell to challenge the gods. >.>

Neither of which is likely to happen any time soon.

It's not really an amicable divorce, while they have joint custody of the kids, each parent maintains control of their own stuff. Daddy wants to make the kids cooler to the other kids, so they have lots of new friends, while mother dearest wants the children to be true to their heritage and be more intelligent and good at math...

HAHA

...But have many folks noticed that we changed the lich AND the vampire templates so that they can be applied to ANY living creature? As in... there's basically rules for what amounts to dracoliches in the Bestiary already...

GMs should never feel completely constrained by the templates or stats either. Part of what makes a vampire and a number of other classic beasties classic is the unique flavours they come in. The stats are a great starting point, but never be afraid to tack on some other unique powers, qualities or weaknesses if that flavour will add to the story.

This.

But, then again, I have a twisted imagination.

grea just great

Good at math ha ha....Guess wizards is daddy. Cooler to the other kids. As a Dad of two boys this is a true statement. Right on.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but...

why are you replying to a topic that is two months old?

with a reply that does not address the post?

twice?

I'm just trying to understand the thought process here. This thread was answered and allowed to drift into the archives; the only way to find it is to search for a key word, and I don't see anything in these posts that suggests what you were looking for. Beholders? Mind Flayers? wtf? I do not understand.

I was looking through old stuff and found this thought it was funny and commented. WTF is wrng with you that you feel you needed to poast that.

This reminded me. There is no reason not to make Yuan-Ti. Just don't call them Yuan-Ti. Just call them Naga.

Looks like someone enjoyed it.

Congratulations, you have just performed thread necromancy! Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars. Its considered bad form, and even a bannable offense on some forums, to post on threads over a month old.

yah and it was over half way down the list and you brought it back for a snide comment good for you.

Dark Archive

The really annoying thing is all the great beholder and mind flayer figures I have (or Bathalian for the Reaper ones - but they look the same ;-) ). That's a shame.

And before you say use them for your own adventures, I pretty much follow the AP's now days due to time. Time is not something I have tons of going spare between a job, kids and a couple of other hobbies.

Or Serpent men which is what they are called in Pathfinder which is open content and which allows you to make use of 3rd party stuff such as all of the Freeport books.

The Exchange

Also what is the point in replying to a post over a month or two old? The person who posted it will never notice. EVER.

Just to say you can.

And you're so much better than him for calling him out on his comment on your thread necromancy, which served an informative purpose, much like this post, in illustrating to you the unwritten code of conduct expected of you on these forums. Something your current post does not do.

Don't try to play last word with me. I can ramble for eons about nothing. And my time is worthless.

That's what she said.

Ok I guess that would be a reason. not a good one but a reason none the less.

Okay, simmer down, now....

The Exchange

Just out of curiosity, who cares if someone "performs thread necromancy" on a subject not discussed recently?

Maybe the person has something interesting to add, maybe not, but really, who cares?

If I'm reading through the archives I might come upon a thread I never saw before, decide I have something amazingly insightful (or not) to add, and then respond. Click, type type type, click, done.

Why does it offend someone to see a thread resurrected? Who really cares? If you are not interested in the subject ignore it and move on...?

I guess I just don't get why some people get worked up over some of these things.

Agreed. It's done on here all the time. Not sure why this was singled out.

BURN!

Liberty's Edge

thread necromancy is fine.

The problem was he posted - twice - without adding anything to the discussion.

It's like walking up to someone and saying "hey dude, that thing you said two months ago was awesome", then walking away.

Sure, it's technically a compliment, but I for one would be rather put out if that happened to me. I'd be even more lost and agitated if he then called me on the phone an hour later to say "oh yeah, and it was also cool" and then hung up.

It's disruptive behavior.

Well, what's done is done.

Now we just have to smurf the smurf out of this post until it is 100 pages long.

I, for one, think that Paizo ought to form a crack extraction team to sneak into the WotC offices and liberate these poor creatures from their wrongful captivity. Expect a Paizo employee to come by and deny that this is the plan, but we all know it's just a cover. *wink*

I find it highly ironic that a user named "Kabump" is complaining about someone ka-bumping an old thread. That would be like me complaining about some dude wearing pants.

Im not complaining at all. Im just pointing out what he did, and telling him some people look down on that. The monopoly quote was an apparently overlooked attempt at humor. And my name is a song, so your irony is technically imagined.

sighs

On the other hand, perhaps someone would notice. I recently got to say "hi" to my friend The Last Rogue who I hadn't seen a post from here in quite a while. I just happened to notice his post and bam!

Liberty's Edge

This thread is quite clearly more in line with its title than it was at first.

I withdraw my complaints. Bravo.

Thanks, SirUrza.
