Does the Inquisitor's Track ability stack with the Ranger ability of the same name?

Why not? If they stack then they'll be just as proficient as a single-class ranger or inquisitor (except perhaps at level 2 as a Ranger 1/Inquisitor 1). After that, there really isn't much of an issue.

A 4/6 level ranger/ inquisitor would have a +5 to rolls to track. +3 for inquisitor, +2 for ranger.

Same as a 10th Level Ranger or a 10th Level Inquisitor, nothing wrong with a little class synergy.

I think it's a really nifty flavour.

Find them anywhere, and take 'em down. Great for a Bounty Hunter concept.
