One of my characters in Burnt Offerings was so enthusiastic about the summoner class that he asked me if he could convert his 3rd level wizard/conjurer into a summoner.
We're building over which kind of entity could he have relations for having become a summoner. He's of Chelaxian stock, born in Magnimar.
He's suggested that his ancestors could have had ties with a Thassilonian entity (he doesn't know anything about Thassilon so far, so he just mentioned it vaguely) or some Infernal power (since he knows Cheliax is under an Infernal-worshiping aristocracy). I guess Magnimar was founded before the death of Aroden, tho, so even this last solution sounds weak. He's a CG character as well, which would make his "baatorian" link quite awkward.
Suggestions?
