As I was creating my witch I couldn't help notice that the witches spells, and hexes basically fall into primarily Enchantment, Necromancy, and spells that break enchantment and necromancy effects. With a few side notes for spells that have the right flavour (baleful polymorph and some divination).
Anyways, I was overcome with the desire, nay the need to focus, and I had a really tough choice, but I decided to go with the pacifist necromancer (yes.) Between exhaustion, fatigue, and enfeeblement she will render you foe passive, or at least incapable of fighting.
Since most of my spells are save or suck, I of course couldn't help but take Spell Focus, and greater spell focus necromancy, which got me thinking, is there a logic or rational to having some sort of thematic focuses for witches that grant some slight bonus? I really don't know what that would be, maybe as simple as if you choose spell focus in necromancy or enchantment you add not only +1 to you save DCs but +1 to your roll to overcome SR?
I realize we wish to avoid forcing/enforcing playing the arch-type, but some synergy feels so natural here. (maybe identifying hexes associated with schools and allowing those feats to stack the hex dc?)
