This one isn't quite to my tastes, I'm afraid. Though I have no complaints about the name. :-) Probably more me than the item- this is one of a couple of cases where my head and personal preferences aren't in the same place as the entry. In this case, it just doesn't match up to what my idea of a spoon item should do, really- I just don't associate spoons (or sporks) with being poison-retrieval units. I mean, it's not completely out there, it just doesn't sell me. That said, leaving the actual vessel for the idea aside, I do like the concept itself of having something to separate out poison from a poisoned object. it's a good idea and not one you see any real other options for- you can treat poison, you can neutralize it, but you can't salvage it. That's where this one gets put on the map, and even if a magic spork isn't to my tastes, I can get behind the use it serves.
I am not a big fan of this, but the visual of the little glass bead of poison is certainly Top 32. Hmmm... if the bead looked like a little glass frog you might have avoided the whole runcible controversy.
