Are there any plans to release more than two scenarios per month?

Yes, in June and August there are four released :)

I'm trying to organize the schedule for next year's monthly game days. We only have a few pathfinder players as-is who attend, and they often walk away because their table doesn't get enough players. I can't schedule older modules (season zero) because the veteran players have already played them at conventions, and it is really hard to 'build up steam' for new players if they only get to play one scenario per month (since Paizo releases one low level and one high level per month). Extra releases in only June and August doesn't help.

Is anyone else running organized play for Pathfinder?

Question - could some of those veteran players DM for the new players?

Your veteran players have played ALL of the season 0 senarios? you might want to print out a spreadsheet of the scenarios, and have your players check off the ones that they have done, maybe there are one or two season 0 senarios that got missed that you could run a full table at, and just don't know it?

Usually we try to run one new senario and one old senario per month.with a group of 15-18 players, mostly that's 3 tables... at this point, soon the higher people will be making a second character to be able to run the new low level senarios when we run them new, but that's ok, as that mean they (who know the rules better/have been playing longer) can help the newbies out in strategy and character creation/optimization. It also means that they can try a different faction in the shadow war, which is fun.

In Detroit we've been having bi-weekly game days this fall. We keep a yahoo groups database of players, and record which scenarios players have played. That way we can offer the least played mods and skip the most played until we have enough new players to play them.

I don't fully understand one sentence above regarding new players. Why is it hard to build up steam for new players? If they're new, they can play all of season 0. That means there's 36 scenarios to choose from!

Like I said before, get those veteran players to DM the season 0s senarios for the new players, and then everyone will be the same level and able to do the new high level with their main character, and the new low level with a secondary character...

Thank you for the suggestions.

We'd have to see a solid and significant increase in sales and reporting before we'd consider releasing more than 28 scenarios per year. While Society play is seeing growth, it's not yet to a place where we can ask to expand.

So grow your local games, report report report, and continue to help me get to a place where I *can* ask for more. :-)

Perry,

Part of the problem at Game Days is that, for some of us, like me, it is the only chance I get to play rather than DM, and I wind up mainly trying to advance my LFR PCs, rather than playing my PFS PC.

Maybe you could run more than once per month at the game day? I would be happy to give up one of my Star Wars nights to play PFS instead...
