It does not appear that we will be playtesting the Templar alternate class. I would love to be able to try out these non-LG holy warriors. But since we can't playtest (I think), what would you like to see in the alternate class?

Sczarni

Watered down smite ability, maybe call it punish to take away the holyness of it.

shouldn't it still be holy, after all, these are holy warriors

Well, I think he meant taking away the good aspect of it. I think an axiomatic smite has a very different feeling from a holy one.

To me, I want it to actually have some features that are different from a paladin, and not "change smite to chaotic/lawful/good." The healing abilities feel a bit innapropriate for some of these variants. The antipaladin class needs something to really make it a mean, nasty class. I'm not sure what, but lifedrain isn't enough, I want something to show it as a sadistic son of a b$+!& (inflict agony or something?).

Says who? The currently released playtest schedule ends in January. The book isn't due to be released until August. That's a 6-7 month break, and they only need 2 or so of that for printing. I'm sure there'll be more playtesting.

They have said (james jacobs I think) that only the new base classes will be playtested

I am pretty sure thats what he said

Domains are always nice (select one or two) maybe powers only.

Being able to designate a protectorate that increases in size with level (campsite, outpost, tower, castle, fortress) in whicj you gain bonuses would be awesome.
