Last week I was watching a show called Chopped on Food Network. There was an exchange that went a little something like this.

Host: Tell us about your dish.

Chef: I made a vegan dish to serve to you today...

Judge: But there is pork chop here.

Chef: Yes, but the rice and vegatables underneath are vegan.

Hilarious.

Anyway, I like the "meat-reducer" label in that article. That is something I can get behind. There are health benefits to eating some meat, but most of us eat far more of it than we need to.

I like cheese.

And Carrots.

And popcorn - that's a vegetable, isn't it?

Yes, and vegan if you don't put butter or cheese on it. But what's the fun in that?

Mmmm. Butter.

Brains are a veggie, right?

Yeah, he didn't last long in the competition.

How can you say that about me? I thought we were brothers?

What a coincidence....

More often than not.

I want to know what happened to antidisestablishmentarians.

They couldn't spell themselves and are even now trapped in banner writing limbo!

Well, at least they didn't devolve.

This was brought up in another thread, but it seems relevent here as well.

The Exchange

Is it just me, or does it seem like the veggies are talking to themselves?

Yes, but they will never tell you their secrets, Crimson Jester.

And they are talking about you too.

So vegetarians don't eat animals. So if I start eating people, I can still consider myself a vegetarian, because many people are insulted by the claim and refuse to believe they are animals. Ergo, they can be claimed as part of a vegetarian diet.

Secrets nothing. I just want to know if the great plant revolution is coming. That way I can stay indors and avoid the toxin.

Oh please everyone! Vegetables and meat, fah! You need healthy carbohydrates. Here, have some fresh whole wheat dinner rolls.
