Round 1

Mario kneels behind the gaming table next to Ormizd, frantically trying to clear his eyes.

Initiative:
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Initiatives:
Mario 22
Thugs 21
Eyepatch woman 20+
Tsadok 20-
Antianel 15
Wizard 11
Lyre 10
Tipello 8
Ormizd 6

Mario hides behind the cover Ormizd provided, desperately trying to blink away the dazzling light. Around him, most of the casino's other patrons are doing the same, though some have also dropped to the ground, following the commands of the woman with the eyepatch.

Three of the thugs move to strike at some of the casino's guards, bringing saps crashing down on their heads, causing the men to collapse in boneless heaps. A fourth strikes at Antaniel, hoping to do the same to the elf warrior. Sap attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22; damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3. The last forces his way through the panicking crowd to get behind Tsadok, though getting there takes all of his efforts.

The woman in the eyepatch stares haughtily at the half-orc monk with her one good eye, pulling a pinch of wool from a pouch at her belt and saying, "Fsxr!" Concentration check to cast defensively: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 The effort of not exposing herself to Tsadok's attacks, however, seems to ruin whatever it was she was about to try. Looking annoyed, she draws a rapier and points it toward Tsadok. "No mercy, boys!" she shouts. "Heroes especially!"

Despite his success in keeping her from casting her spell, however, Tsadok's own attempts at bravado and pugilism are equally ineffective.

Hammered by the thug's sap, Antaniel staggers. "Craven coward!" he roars. "Let us see how you fare against those with eyes to strike you down!" Elven curve blade attack with Power Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23; damage 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9.
Crit confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6; damage 1d10 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10.

The man with the goatee pulls a new scroll from within his coat and begins pushing through the crowd toward the dais that contains the prize chest.

Lyre: which target were you choosing for your magic missile? There are 5 total - three that just knocked out guards, one facing off against Antaniel, and one that is flanking Tsadok opposite the woman with the eyepatch.

Round 2

Ormizd decides to encourage those fighting back against the robbers and starts playing an exciting fast paced percussion music.

Round 2

Mario begins to recover his eyesight as the spots start to fade (still blind). He considers changing to the Masked Man in the confusion, but rejects it as too risky.
Slowly he eases his rapier out of its scabbard...

Tippy completes his spell and a riding dog appears in a puff of magical smoke next to the chest of gold. Smiling in satisfaction Tippy points at the closest brigand near the chest and commands the summoned creature to attack. which I think is probably the dude heading towards it brandishing a scroll.

Tippy will then use his remaining move action to draw a starknife from beneath his cloak.

riding dog bites at target 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 damage 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 plus trip 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 versus targets cmd.

Fine, no mercy it is then... **prays to dice gods**
Having seen her magical prowess, he yells "Caster by me!" to anyone listening.
Tsadok then takes a couple of fast jabs at the woman with the eyepatch (flurry of blows). these are intended to be subdual. He has no wish to kill anyone.

That's one of the ones that just knocked out a guard. And no, it doesn't - in order to get a benefit from attack enhancers, a spell must actually require an attack roll.

Lyre's spell sears the back of one of the sap-wielding attackers, who spins angrily to look for this new source of danger. His eyes fall on the gnome peeking out from under the table, and he swears a curse.

Tipello finishes his spell, and abruptly a large dog, looking like a St. Bernard with silver and gold highlights in its coat, materializes next to the chest. The goateed man with the scroll pulls up in shock, and the dog leaps for him, trying to sink its teeth into his leg. Just before its jaws make contact, however, they strike something: a shimmering disc of magical energy that flares into visibility as it blocks the dog's attack. Interested observers may roll Spellcraft, if they'd like. Disappointed, the halfling readies the weapon of his goddess.

Near Mario, Ormizd begins a rapid, inspiring beat on his newly-created bongos, filling the air with encouraging rhythms. The instictive defenders of the Gold Goblin feel themselves invigorated by the beat. The woman in the eyepatch looks shocked, and though she doesn't take her attention entirely off of the monk currently threatening her, she looks quickly around for the source of the music.

Round 2:

Mario draws his rapier and waits for his vision to clear.

Two of the thugs move to their next blinded targets and bring their saps crashing down on their heads just as with the guards before. The one struck by Lyre's magic missile, however, pushes through the crowd and tries to attack the crouching gnome. Lyre has cover against this attack, by the way. Sap attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16; damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8.* The man sliced so deeply by Antianel's blade turns and runs, staggering through the crowd toward the door, while the thug flanking Tsadok takes advantage of the situation by trying to brain the half-orc with his sap. Sap attack with flank: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8; damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4; sneak attack 1d6 ⇒ 4.*

The woman with the eyepatch also strikes out at Tsadok, hoping to take advantage of the distraction her ally is providing. Rapier attack with flank: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9; damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6.

Tsadok is unimpressed by the martial skill of his foes, yet returns in kind. Because of the bardic performance bonus, those to-hit rolls were 18 and 12, for 5 and 6 damage respectively - the 18 hits, the 12 misses. Two quick strikes later, and the woman with the eyepatch is rocking back, blood pouring out of her nose, looking shocked at her own pain.

* I erred earlier with the attack on Antianel, because I forget a bonus these guys are getting. These are the right attack numbers.

Hearing the cry of "caster!" from one of the other patrons, Antianel turns in that direction. Seeing a half-orc warrior surrounded by the casino's attackers, he forgets the man who just fled from him and makes his way over to aid the valiant monk. Antianel can't get a flank, though a 5-ft step will allow Tsadok to do so next round if need be. He turns his wrath on the woman with the eyepatch. "Test your blade against mine, witch!" he challenges her as he swings. Elven curve blade attack with Power Attack and bardic performance: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21; damage 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10. The attack, combined with Tsadok's strike, overwhelms her, and she collapses to the ground.

Seeing the woman with the eyepatch fall, the man with the goatee shouts, "Thuvalia!" in a horrified tone. In a burst of anger, he fixes his gaze on Antianel and, taking a step away from the riding dog, raises his hand. "Zshov zoddar!" he shouts, and a fist-full of white fire appears on his palm, fire that he hurls at Antianel and sears the elven warrior with mystic force. Magic missile damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5. He then drops the scroll he had produced, and instead draws out a long, thin wand of crooked metal.

Lyre is up.

Female Gnome Sorceror (fey) 1

Do I have to roll for cover from the attack % mischance if I recall?

Female Gnome Sorceror (fey) 1

Nevermind cover gives you extra Ac not concealment

Managing to duck behind the table and avoid the sap Lyre steps back and shoots another magic missile at the thug

Damage

1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Lyre wrote:

Damage

1d4 + 1

A second blast of mystic fire scorches the thug, and his eyes widen in fear. Bleeding profusely, he staggers back a step, and he peers quickly around, as if looking for escape.

Tipello.

Seeing Lyre's attacker looking for a place to run, Tippy is willing to let him. Seeing a greater threat in the obvious caster he wings his starknife at the goatee'd man who just cast something at the elf with the curved blade.

attack roll 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 = 12 minus 2 per range increment farther than 20 feet, damage 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3. He will then draw his second starknife as a move action

Also, does Tippy have any more "Bit of Luck" uses left or did he use them all up with the gambling?

I don't think he ever wound up using any - Lyre was doing just fine on her own.

Ormizd.

Round 3

Mario whispers; "Just about... now."

Mario jumps up on the game table, weaving just enough to show drunkenness to observers. Waiving his rapier and drink around, he shouts; "Unhand my winnings you varlets!"

Mario's show of bravado draws the attention of one of the thugs, who pushes through the crowd toward him, sap raised high. He stops short of stabbing range, however, obviously looking for some kind of angle to attack. The thug is about 10 feet away now. The man looming over Tippello and Lyre decides that repeated magic missiles is more than he is getting paid for, so he withdraws as well, racing for the door. Seeing the knot of resistance forming around the fallen woman with the eyepatch, the last remaining thug moves to try to attack Antianel again, and he and his companion assault the elf and the half-orc respectively. Sap attack on Antianel: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12; damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5. Sap attack on Tsadok: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15; damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4.

Tsadok is up.

If he can move to flanking position within 5 feet, he does, but otherwise he'll try a simple flurry of blows, trying again to subdue his foe. He won't move if he can't flurry. No flanking bonus was factored in below, but the bardic music has been.

strike one:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 121d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4
strike two:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 51d6 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 = 8

"Stand down!" Tsadok yells as he strikes out, beginning to sound angry, perhaps a bit desperate as he feels the pain of the sap in his neck.

The flank would have been on the woman with the eyepatch, but she's no longer a concern.

Tsadok's opponent ducks and weaves past his blows, and he can't quite manage to land a solid hit.

Antianel spins toward the thug who just attacked him. "Learned you nothing from the witch's fate?" he demands, bringing the blade around in a wet, red arc. Elven curve blade attack with Power Attack and inspire courage: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20; damage 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16.

Another thug falls to Antianel's exotic blade, but the thief's place is immediately taken by the spellcaster with the goatee, his face still a mask of rage as he swipes at Antianel with the wand he now carries. Melee touch attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20; damage 1d6 ⇒ 2 electricity. A massive spark jumps from the wand tip to the metal studs on Antianel's armor, and he jerks in pain.

Lyre, then Tippy.

Just FYI, the next point of damage Antianel takes knocks him out.

Round 4

Mario grins as the thug approaches.

"Ah! A new player enters the game eh? You know it's... Dealers Choice!"
(Standard act) Mario kicks a convenient stack of coins and/or chips and or cards into the face of the thug facing him, intending to blind him.

Touch attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

(Move act) Mario then somersaults forward off the table to engage the thug.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Tippy moves from beneath the table seeing Lyre will probably be safe there and heads towards the downed woman with the eyepatch with the intention to stabilize her. On the way he puts forth his hand and a wave of energy flashes from him in a burst of pleasant thoughts of butterflys and flowery meadows.

Tippy will channel positive energy in a 30 foot burst healing 1d6 ⇒ 5 damage to all except the woman with the eyepatch (don't want her getting up) the wizard with the wand, and the thug still fighting near him.

Female Gnome Sorceror (fey) 1

Lyre peeking up from the table once again begins to cast another spell on the rather angry looking mage

Casting sleep Dc 16 will save or off to the land of nod (at the start of my next turn I think)

Lyre begins casting an enchantment on the mage across the room. It will likely catch a few patrons in its effect as well, but it won't hurt them, and it might end the fight for good - she hopes, anyway.

Tippello unleashes a burst of healing energy as he moves toward the fallen spellcaster with the eyepatch.

Ormizd continues his inspiring rhythm.

Round 4:

Mario attempts to distract his attacker with a spray of chips in the other man's face. I think I'm going to call that a feint attempt. How about a Bluff check? I'll toss in a +2 circumstance bonus for the successful touch attack.

The distracted man nevertheless makes a swipe at his flamboyant opponent with his sap. Sap attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22; damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7. Across the room, Tsadok's foe once again tries to knock him down: sap attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18; damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5.

Tsadok is up.

Bluff: 1d20+7

PF Bards don't have to stop performing in order to cast spells. We'll assume this is added to last round's action, then. Goatee's Will save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16. Sense Motive, with +4 bonus from having realized it's an illusion: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16. Still not enough to save him from that Bluff roll. I'm going to count that as an Aid Another, distracting Goatee enough to throw off his attack and add +2 to Antianel's AC.

The goateed man frowns, looking over his shoulder at the sudden noise - he snorts disparagingly, but his attention nevertheless seems divided between what's behind him and his foe in front of him.

Tsadok?

DM:

Spoiler:
I want to clarify that Tsadok was in the healing burst, otherwise he's knocked out from the sap attack that just hit him. (-1 hp all subdual). Sorry for the delay in posting. Once clarified, expect a response within 24 hours (I work until 12:00 AM Central time, 10-hour days).

He was.

Tsadok tries to subddue the last of the thugs, trying to flurry him into submission..
"I said STAND DOWN!"

Strike one
1d20 ⇒ 81d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Strike two
1d20 ⇒ 21d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Man, Tsadok's run of dice misfortune is really quite epic... :(

Tsadok's blows, though enraged, seem to come to naught as the thug dodges each one in succession.

Suddenly invigorated by the flow of healing power from Tippello, Antianel raises his weapon once more. "Your tricks will not save you, warlock!" he spits at the goateed arcanist, and suddenly lashes out, trying to twist the metal wand from the wizard's hand. Disarm attempt, which would provoke an AoO except that the wizard is only carrying a wand right now: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8.

Antianel's fancy bladework also fails to produce any meaningful result.

The wizard lashes out again with the wand in his hand. Thanks to Ormizd's distraction, Antianel's touch AC is +2 against this attack. Touch attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12; damage 1d6 ⇒ 5 electricity. Antianel dances away from the wand, whose tip continues to spark and snap dangerously.

Across the room, Lyre completes her spell, and a wave of somnolent energy sweeps across the room. Several cowering patrons slump snoring to the ground purely description, not affecting the HD cap of the spell, but it catches both the wizard and Tsadok's opponent in its area as well. Wizard's save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20; thug's save: 1d20 ⇒ 17. Both targets manage to avoid succumbing to the spell's effects, however.

Lyre is up again, then Tippello and Ormizd. Just a reminder that Mario has already declared and rolled for next round as well.

Female Gnome Sorceror (fey) 1

"Oops" is all that comes out of Lyre's mouth as everyone but the ones she wanted to fall over asleep. Deciding to go back to what works she throws a magic missile at the thug that stayed awake

1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

The arcane energy sears the thug's flesh, and he curses in what sounds like Goblin.

Tippy makes his way carefully over to the woman with the eyepatch and tears a strip of cloth from her garments to bandage her wounds.

Avoiding the thugs and the wizard, Tippy will move beside the downed woman and perform a heal check to stabilize her if she's still breathing. Heal check 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Hmm, that didn't work so well. Can I tell if she's still breathing?
