I've tried to find something about this on the site, but my search fu is lacking.
While setting up characters last night using the Golarion campaign setting book, some of the players wanted to use the optional class ablities and other setting rules. Most were fairly easy to convert, but some, such as the sorcerer ability to cast extra spells in lieu of a familiar (which is not an class feature in PFRPG) where troublesome. My question is, are they planning to post a pdf which will update these rules, or has this been done somewhere else?
Any help or conversion thoughts would be cool.

I too have experienced this same issue. I'd like to see even a quick PDF or changed for PF Core rules. Like there was one class feature or feat that allows an orison to be cast at will. What do with that one?

On another thread I brought up the sorcerer ability exchange. Most thought simply exchange for the 1st level Bloodline Power since the 1st level Bloodline Power for the Arcane Bloodline is Arcane Bond (familiar). And the 1st level bloodline powers should be roughly on par. It sounds like a reasonable fix to me.

I spent $150 on the new Pathfinder Core Book, the Bestiary, and the Pathfinder Chronicles Campaign Guide--only to find that the latter-most book isn't even compatible! It's freaking v3.5! in fact, many of the other Pathfinder products (such as the many modules) aren't compatible either!
As such, I really need an official conversion PDF or something similar. Otherwise, I just wasted $50!

Nah, you just spent $50 on the best Campaign Setting around! Even if there is a rules update in the future, the flavor that defines Golarion and the rest of the Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting isn't really changing. In-world, the inhabitants of Cheliax, Varisia, and Osirion don't know there was a rules change. There's no Time of Troubles or Spellplague that's going to make your version of the book obsolete. While you wouldn't have to make the minor conversions of skill requirements for PrCs and other minor tweaks with a PFRPG-native version, it would otherwise be almost identical to what you're holding in your hands right now.

Ravingdork,
There's no need to post the same thing three times... you've been answered here.

But I didn't post it three times. :(
You probably just got mixed up because of my similar-sounding thread titles.
I've only posted it twice. Once in my own thread and once more when I realized it was already being discussed in another thread.
I'm guessing the third thread you are referring to is my "retroactive friendly" thread which has nothing to do with compatibility between gaming systems, but with internal rules questions (specifically, the retro-activeness of things like Intelligence increases/decreases and how it effects skill ranks and languages).

I just saw pretty much the exact same text in three different threads, so yes, you did post it in three different places.
you didn't start three different threads about it, but you've posted the same exact paragraph in three different locations.
Look, it's your fault for not noticing that the publication date of the Campaign Setting was significantly earlier than the publication date of the Core Rules. Your complaint is a relevant as saying "I just bought the Advanced Psionics Handbook for AD&D, and it's not compatible with the current rules!!!". You didn't bother to check, so it's your mistake.
Also, as has been previously mentioned, the money is not wasted, as the campaign setting is mostly fluff anyway.
If you are really, truly upset, file a complaint with Customer Service, and you might get a rebate or online coupon or something. But these boards are not the place to complain about how a product that was published before the core rules isn't compatible with the core rules.
Drop the the topic.
