Has the middle aged Knotty taken aging effects into account? (–1 to Str, Dex, and Con; +1 to Int, Wis, and Cha). Looks like it.

Did you take the extra skill point for a knowledge, profession, or craft skill (as a class skill) to reflect a day job in your background?

For my love of country has compelled me to volunteer time and again to seek out those who hate freedom and bring them to justice.

Galadar looks good. I think he still has some more money to spend?

I'll try to get that money spent later today. :)

HMM..what to wear???

Heh ok I'll figure something out. Are you suggesting avoiding armor altogether?

I think that our team got a bonus feat from... I can't remember from where; seemed like there were a selection of regional feats from Golarion or Korvosa. I got the one called Big Game Hunter.

And Sir Manfred is indeed ready.

Nope. But you're going to be asked to pose as caravan guards. I think few caravan guards go for the dominatrix look.

You can, of course, suggest a different ruse at first.

Okay. You also got the small achievement feat as well. Let's let these guys have 1 regional feat or 2 traits as well.

This should make things roughly equal.

For what its worth, I was thinking Galadar was well designed to pose as a merchant.

I think the merchant and guards ruse can work. It may involve some playing dress-up.

Nope, I've never used them much. I can reduce his age if you like. Hmmm, that would make his background story a bit more recent. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Cheers

Yeah took knowledge nature to represent her being a Tracker/hunter

Just a bit of advance warning, I'm on holiday from Thursday evening until Monday evening. No internet. Going cold turkey for four days.

Cheers

I went ahead and reduced his age to 48 so he is no longer middle-aged. It fits with what I am thinking.

Okay. Either way. Reducing his age is probably better than reducing his strength. He might not be able to carry that fishing pole otherwise. ;-)

What would the DM think about the following...

RING OF THIEVING
Aura faint transmutation; CL 5th
Slot ring; Price 5000 gp; weight -

DESCRIPTION
This ring grants its wearer a +5 competence bonus to both Stealth and Disable Device checks.

CONSTRUCTION
Requirements Forge Ring, creator must have 5 ranks in both stealth and Disable Device; Cost 2500 gp

I wasn't sure about the cost.

Anyway, my other magic items, if this is allowed would be a +1 crossbow, and a +1 Kukri

Mark - do you fancy making our halflings from the same community. Maybe cousins twice removed so to speak?

EDIT: Kevin, yes, I'm much better with races than names, sorry.

Just thought that before entering the game thread about asking how well you think you and Eria would know each other?

The Exchange

Drinks, the odd sunday roast and probably your PC knows that Knotty was a shady army character, maybe even that he was retired from of a black ops/SAS style team of military sneaky-beakys.

He doesn't talk about the past much otherwise he is a friendly neighbourhood fisherman who hands out some of his spare catch to locals. Also Knotty could have conversed with Eria over druidic knowledge of herbs and other useful components for his lab/still where he brews potions and makes scrolls when he can be bothered. Porbably was a part time herbalist at some point.

Somewhere down the line, Knotty may have helped track down a group of humanoids that defiled an earth shrine come grove to nature.

Cheers

That actually looks pretty good. It requires specific skills to use and combines multiple similar abilities so that earns it a price reduction. If you're willing to pay 5000 gp for it, I'll allow it as I'm sure you could have found someone to forge it at that price.

ALright - I took the ring. I am thinking of Galadar as an Andoran spy/scout/adventurer whose normal cover is either that of a merchant or a linguistic scholar. Its hard to know how much of a backstory to create with a 5th level character but I imagine he has done a couple of small jobs for Andoran before and it is understood his loyalty to the ideals of his country is strong.

Dark Archive

Okay have been thinking of reasons why my character would be brought along. Would it be okay if Knotty Ash maybe suggested her for the job (If Knotty is okay with that of course.)

The Exchange

I'm fine with that.

The Andoran High Command may have told Knotty to feed back info on any likely future candidates as part of being a reservist. Eria could have been one such candidate.

The paperwork went up the chain and Knotty never heard another thing, until now.

Cheers

So if that works I'm thinking Galadar seems to have interesting taste in bodyguards. Otherwise I'll scale back on a couple weapons and get glamored armor.

What d'yo think?

Don't worry about it. I was just suggesting you pack a cloak or something.

Man, where's Hru? He's going to be a fun one for a stealth mission as well.

You can introduce her in the game thread any time you are ready.

Background pretty much done. I think he is pretty much ready for the Last Baron.

Sorry, I'm still convertin! though On a HAPPY note My book arrived today!! The box looked like the Cannonfodders were where using it to bullseye donkey rats, but the book, she is unharmed.

I'm a traveler from the north, covertly seeking inroads or an idea of the political climate, for possible trade with the Spires of clan Foehammer and their King) (of course no one who wasn't there would beleive that a half orc is working for the dwarves) So for now I'm just a traveler from the north and companion of Manfred. He's here still right?

If you are seeking connections, then you might be in this part of Golarion with the intention of heading up to Five Kings Mountains and Druma. Some of the coins you found in the spires were minted almost 600 years ago in Five Kings Mountains. There was some evidence that the spires had become a northern outpost of Five Kings or at least had traded with them.

The Exchange

After tomorrow am, feel free to NPC Knotty until I get back on Monday evening.

cheers

Hru got something related to aberrant creatures, didn't he, after the stalkercrabs burrowed inside of him and tried to hook up to his half-orc brain? I probably have it somewhere but I thought it was something like +2 to sense motive and knowledge checks related to aberrant creatures.

I believe I gave it to you on Easter morning.

I was gonna give you a free pass right to the Keep, but now I'm thinking an ogre should block your path through the foothills of the Aspodells and demand "one naight wid da purdy one" as a toll.
