Indefinite. I do not have appropriate artwork chosen out for Mage Armor. As soon as I have some artwork ready, I will make the card.
Have you tried using images from Wikipedia? Here is an example of one such article that has a usable image that is free domain: Image of Alexander the Great in armor
If you click on the link to the image of the mosaic it states that it is considered free domain and why it is. I hope this helps. Great work so far!![](/WebObjects/Frameworks/Ajax.framework/WebServerResources/wait30.gif)

I've been scouring all the public domain images and usable creative commons images I can find. I hadn't seen that image, but it really doesn't strike me as fitting the "Mage Armor" theme. Specifically, it is too obvious that the character is a warrior, not a mage and that the armor is not magical/conjured. Thanks for the suggestion, and if you can make any more suggestions for any of the non-yellow spells on this list please do so.

Chris is correct. I haven't managed to finish off any of the class spell lists yet and I do not have all the various licenses that I will need to include with the .pdf compiled in a single document yet. I also still need to either design a back for the cards or get someone to make one for me (I know what I want on the back, I've just had other things to work on).
Detect Secret Doors
Halt Undead
Horrid Wilting
Inflict Critical Wounds, Mass

Watermarks? I've been using public domain artwork and reusable Creative Commons, plus Paizo Community Use Policy artwork and inserting them as layers with my image editing software.
Or were you referring to something else?
I guess it's a reference to the background being a watermark itself - i.e. faded out somewhat to make the text readable.

That's odd, I've tried it on a couple of computers both logged in and out using both Firefox and Internet Explorer. I didn't encounter either of the problems you ran into. Maybe it will work better for you later.
Okay, just tried again and the spell name links don't work, but the gallery links do work.

I don't get the usual page when I try to download your cards. I get text in blue and no graphics.

Yep, clicking on the image links are unlikely to work as I was changing the album organization. Clicking on the album links should work and let you view the images.

Yes, exactly. If I were to print them out, are the backgrounds watermarks so that they are lighter than the text. If not, the cards will eat up a lot of printer ink and be difficult to read.

The backgrounds are essentially watermarked. I've tried printing several of the cards and they tend to turn out fairly readable. The intended card size is 2.5" x 3.75" for the smaller sized cards and 5" x 3.75" for the double-sized cards. I'd love to hear some feedback from someone else who has printed some of the cards as to how readable they are. As I said, I've experimented on my own, but a second opinion wouldn't hurt.
Also, if you catch any typos or errors please let me know. The cards posted on the picasa web album are drafts, and I've made some minor changes to some of the cards on my harddrive that I have not uploaded. Still if you see something, please let me know.
Also, these are just up for proof-of-concept and progress tracking. The final cards will have license documentation included in the .pdf and a design that can be printed on the back of the cards.

Wow these are beautiful.
I don't think I would personally use these as game aids, as I run my Pathfinder campaign over the internet using screen monkey and I created a spreadsheet all my players use as a character sheet on their computers. It does all the calculations for them and under their spell list it has a spot to paste the link to the PRD for quick refrence.
If I did get a chance for us to play around the table though, I would use those in a heartbeat, really nice work

These are really great Caedwyr! Thank you for putting in all the time and hard work.
I was looking through what you have left and came up with a couple suggestions :)
True Strike - Satan being struck down
Move Earth - Guy about to move a globe. I know this one is kind of a stretch, but he is about to move (spin) an earth (globe) so i thought I'd get your opinion.
Any general thoughts you can give me on exactly what you look for when you try to match up a picture to spell would be helpful to.

I'm glad you like them.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm actually already using the first image you linked for Smite Evil. I've got a high quality version of the Vermeer painting you suggest for Move Earth. Even if I don't end up using it, you've given me some good ideas for similar themed images for that spell. Thanks. Picking out the cards is the hardest part.
As for choosing the images, I use the following thought process, with 5 and 6 roughly equal in weight.
1. Is the image in the right proportions for the amount of spell text. Eg: Invisibility just fits on the 2.5x3.75" card, Mass invisibility and invisibility sphere go on the 5x3.75" cards. I've had to reject a decent number of good images because they wouldn't fit on the size of the card I need to use.
2. Obvious example of the spell's manifestation with a caster in the process, or having just cast the spell. See Scorching Ray or Shatter.
3. Plausible example of the spell having been cast, in the process of being cast. See Shout or Shadow Conjuration, Greater.
4. The image follows the theme/feeling of the spell. See Shadow Walk, Scrying, Greater.
5. The image plausibly follows the theme/feeling of the spell. See Poison, Secret Page, Phantom Trap.
6. The name of the painting is famous and fits the theme of the spell. See Fear, Misdirection, Moment of Prescience.
7. The image or name of the image makes a bad pun or joke that probably only I will get and please don't do this again. See Bear's Endurance, Detect Thoughts, Doom, Erase, Find Traps, Heroes' Feast.

Thanks for the info. I hadn't even thought of card size being an issue.
Sorry for suggesting images you have already used. There are so many spells I really haven't had time to look at them all. So I will just keep throwing suggestions at you if that's cool.
If you can link anymore websites to checkout that you haven't already posted, that would be helpful also.

It took me about 3-4 minutes to even track down which spell I had used that image for.
I recently found http://www.artrenewal.org/, and it looks like a decent possible source of public domain artwork. Also, you might want to try doing some searches for the artists used in the spells posted on this page since Wood Shape on this page. I haven't had a chance to go through their entire portfolios yet, so there may be other useful images.
Also, a couple of images I'm currently looking for. A sprite/pixie with a little bow and arrow or a Storm Giant type creature that can be used for Summon Nature's Ally IX.
Also, a landscape type image with multiple different monsters that I can use for a Summon Monster list of monsters similar to the one I have for Summon Nature's Ally. If I end up having several such images for both Summon Monster and Nature's Ally all the better, since I'm sure the Summon Monster/Nature's Ally lists will only increase in size with time.

Summon Nature's Ally IX - Cupid looking sort of pixieish and using his bow
Simulacrum - Guy making a duplicate of a woman with white stone that could maybe pass as ice/snow
Stoneskin - Woman turning from stone to flesh

Excellent. The Simulacrum and Stone to Flesh (not stoneskin) images are perfect for those spells respectively. The cupid looks a little too cherubish/cupidish. If nothing else presents itself, I may end up going with something similar, but I'd like to try to get a more traditional pixie/faerie with bow & arrows if possible.

Glad you are finding some of these useful. Here's a few more that might work.
True Strike - Knight killing dragon
Protection from Arrows - Guy with halo holding an arrow
Magic Jar - Yeeeeeah that could be a soul in a jar, right?
Spike Stones - Rocks or Other rocks. I like the second one better, but which ever looks best with the text is probably the way to go.
This really is time consuming. I appreciate far more the work you have done so far. How much time do you think you have put in on this?
And one more thing, what kind of images are you looking for when it comes to the more abstract spells like Contingency and Mage's Lucubration?

I've probably put in a couple hundred hours or so. I started doing this last September. Incidentally I really appreciate the help you've given so far. I have a strong appreciation for the amount of work and effort you've put in to find the several images you've posted so far.
The latest batch looks good. I think most of these will get used. Magic Jar requires a landscape image, so the one you recommended won't fit.
For the more abstract spells, I'd go with something that shows the spell plausibly being cast, or something that plausibly fits the theme or name of the spell.

Some more suggestions:
Reverse Gravity - People falling up
Inflict Light Wounds, Mass or Inflict Moderate Wounds, Mass - Angle/God blasting a group of people
Iron Body - Metal looking body drawing
These last three images are pretty cool, but I cant directly match them to any of the remaining spells. They do look like spells being cast, so maybe you can use them for abstract spells or however you see fit.
Woman walking on water with bowl -Dispel Magic, Remove Curse, Dispel Chaos?
Woman making a magic circle/casting over fire -This one could represent any of the more abstract spells I guess: Spell Resistance, Spell Immunity, Mage's Lucubration, ...ect
Some da Vinci crazyness -I don't know whats going on here but it looks cool, maybe you can finds a place for it :P
![](/WebObjects/Frameworks/Ajax.framework/WebServerResources/wait30.gif)

I've gone with your suggestions for Reverse Gravity and Inflict Light Wounds. I'd like to have the images in full colour and have only rarely gone with sepia tones or black and white.
I've already used the Woman Walking on water image for Curse water, and the magic circle for Magic Circle Against Evil (a larger version of the same image that shows more).
The last da Vinci image is another sepia tone, that I'd like to avoid using if possible or if it thematically fits to use a sepia tone for the spell.
Thanks again.

Ok color only, I can do that :)
Mage Armor - Wizard looking guy in awesome cloak. --I'm not sure this is "armory" enough looking for you, but its the closest I have seen so far and does look awesome.
Mage's Sword - Woman with wicked looking sword -- This one is not an exact match for the spell but it is a nice picture so I thought I'd get your thoughts.
Magic Stone - Woman who looks likes she is casting magic on some rocks in a basket
Mage's Lucubration - Woman with glowing hand/head
Woman with magic sphere -- This one may not be colorful enough, but it looks neat. I was thinking it would work for Dispel Chaos, or maybe one of the more abstract ones like Spell Resistance or Spell Immunity.
As always, I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
