Good morning all.
The boss is on my case about internet usage :(
Ugh. Sorry to hear that, CH. I have a suspicion I'll be hearing about my internet usage at my review. My new boss has a penchant for waiting to document an issue on a review, rather than addressing the issue with her subordinates personally.

Not allowed to use the internet at work either. As long as we clear the history and don't get busted we have been able to get on every now and then. I mostly just check my mail and read through Paizo. I have the excuse waiting that I was ordering a gift for the hubby. :D
Well at least you guys have the Internet at work... :/

I do not believe that I shall be going to bed tonight... it's already 2.17am and I start work at 5am. Plus I still have a roster to write for next week. :/
Work 'til 3pm.
We have 84 subs to make by 10.30am tomorrow for a big Christmas Eve order... I am very much not looking forward to it. :(

I must've missed this. Sorry. You should have gone to bed early. Like at 10 or 11pm!!!

I'm doing pretty well. I'll be doing a few errands today with my kids, no Christmas shopping because that's already done. We're going to pick up a ham and go to the comic book store.
I'm also going to work on my third idea for the SuperStar contest. I like this one a lot, and I think it will make an impression.
Do you have to work much over the holidays?

Not bad, but not great. I'm not any closer to having work.

You know...a puppy could take care of that problem for you. At least save you the clean up. A cute little fuzzball with big puppy eyes. ;)

This is so true. Unfortunately, our puppy also likes to "clean" the cat litter box if we don't get to it quickly enough. :)

We find out in time, usually, and give the puppy some teeth cleaning biscuits. Which means she is now trained to expect a "treat" when she gets presents from the litter box.

No puppies allowed in the house. The boy is allergic to a few breeds and none of us have the time or inclinaton to take care of one. Thats why we have the kitty. :)

I realized that I'm much more of a "cat person" than a "dog person" after getting the puppy. Our puppy can be very destructive if no one is paying attention to her, but we're training her. Plus she is about 9 months old now, so she's starting to slow down some.

My sheperd/husky 'puppy' just turned 8. We had a visitor yesterday so we put her outside. She proceeded to whine and jumped up and down like a jack-in-the box right outside of the dining room window. *whine, ears and nose peek up above the sill, then drop. (Must be part Jack Russel.) rinse, repeat. Hilarious!
She hasn't realized she's old yet.

I love pets period. But the time a puppy takes is something I don't have. We had the puppy last year, when we figured out the boy's allergies, and I remembered how much attention a puppy needs! With work and school and three kids its not happening. And they bark, and chew, and slobber, and dig. :D

Hee hee. I certainly wouldn't expect an 8 year old dog to behave that way. If we had a bigger yard, we would have gotten a larger dog. We have a beagle/pug mix (75% beagle, but she only "bays" when she's lonely, and other than the black fur the only other pug features are her eyes and webbed toes).

Yeah, if someone doesn't have time to pay attention to a puppy and train it, they shouldn't get one.
Our dog does bark (she likes to bark at nothing when we let her out into the back yard) and chew, but she doesn't slobber, thank goodness.

Ugh. Much to do today. Need to get house cleaned up, make fudge, make julbrod, do laundry since the boy wet the bed (first time in two weeks so I really can't complain after the months long period where I had to wash the bedding every day), call my cousin who left a very concerned message (seriously? augh. I do NOT need more drama! It's not the freaking end of the world people. Sorry. Family driving me nuts.), clean the dirt off the 'dinosaur bones' from the kid's excavation kit so he can put the model together, finish a painting, cook dinner when it gets to be that time, at some point I really need to take a shower and also eat something.....oh yeah, need to call my friend and confirm Christmas plans....I think that's everything. For today. We'll see how much of that gets done. I don't want to leave much for tomorrow cause it's Christmas Eve and has its own impossibly long list of things that must get done.
