Recuiting in Tharkad-Kûl PbP

Gamer Connection

Hey there all. My Beta testing PbP needs 1-3 new players. It originally started out as a stripped-down dungeon crawl to test out the Beta rules, but now it is transforming into an orc hunt through the mountains using the Pathfinder rules.

I need 1-3 new characters to replace attrition. Anyone interested please post here. Third level to start.

I might be interested. Maybe a Ranger, with Favored Enemy (orc). I don't have the rules yet, so I can't post a character sheet yet.

Edit: Or maybe I'll play a cleric instead. Probably either a cleric or a ranger.

I would love to play!
I'd like to play a spellcaster - maybe even heading towards mystic theurge - but I'm flexible.

I have the Pathfinder rules already. Will play whatever party needs, ave a lot of little characters running around right now, so I'm not picky

Holds up hand

I'm familiar with/own the Beta rules for Paizo and am looking to join a game. Feel free to peruse this character for its suitability.

I won't have any time to adjust it up two levels until the middle of next week though.

Looking to hear more.

Excellent! Although I said 1-3, I will take in you four that have posted. I'm sure I can manage. We are using the High Fantasy standard for ability scores. Take normal GP for the level, assume you can buy whatever you like.

As I mentioned, we are in the process of revamping the game from a dungeon crawl to a less-structured orc hunt through the mountains.

Some information on your base town is posted >HERE< in the discussion thread.

The actual PbP thread is >HERE<

I will probably not be on later today, as I don't think the server needs any extra stress. I will check in tomorrow to see how the concepts are going. Thanks for y'alls interest!

Hello! Thank you for accepting myself into your campaign/world/PbP.

With the boards currently a bit 'twitchy' due to certain events beyond peoples control, this is the earliest I've been able to view the new posts and links.

The first thing that stuck me is that there is already a player with/using the same avatar!

Oh dear. If this is going to cause a hassle/problem do let me know and I shall make up another 'quick' build along similar lines, just with a different face so as not to cause confusion.

I've also just be lucky/fortunate enough to receive a PDF copy of certain rules. So I will be utilizing these to the fullest in building my character for the campaign.

Looking forward to hearing from people.

Just checking the boards for the first time since the 'downloadstorm' began. I'll go forward with a caster build then (will check your links after dinner for extra clues as to how to be useful).

And my Core Rulebook arrived by mail today (canada, no less!)

Confirming a 20 point buy - the existing characters seem higher. Also wondering about starting hp and any other happy-house-rules. Point buy and the mystic theurge seem like a bad plan. Noticed a cleric and a sorcerer in the mix...

I'll try out a druid...

Greetings again. So here is Desv's "Half Sister", pretty much the same character with a slightly different veneer and Avatar so as not to cause any chaos and confusion between two players having the same avatar on the one thread.

I hope she passes muster, await feed-back, comments and such. Um, are the replacement characters riding/walking into town/the thread?

*salutes*

Sunset/Crystal, looks good. I have posted a small intro to the main page, feel free to interact. This weekend will be a bit hairy posting with all the downloads and folks busy at GenCon. I will attempt to update more as you all get your characters squared away.

I believe we used the 20-point buy, but I am a forgetful monkey. I will ask the others if we used a 3.5 32-point system or something of that nature.

I checked everyone's scores back before all hell broke loose on the boards, it looked like thirty-two. Anyway do you accept psionics? I've been wanting to mess with them for a while now if you do. If not, I'll make something else.

What deities are available?

That's fine, if 32 looks correct, use 32. Sorry for the confusion. I do accept psionics, you will find I am relatively open to player options.

Most people in the game were worshippping Golarion gods. Orcus is a main antagonist demon lord/deity that you will be going against. If you have a fave god, I can work them in as a special case, I'm flexible

Awesome, thanks, I've already worked out some of her stuff, I'll finish her up soon. Might not be on much for the next week though, have to visit the 'rents and do some nanny duty for the baby brother

Oh and to Pathfinderize the Psion, since they've made Wizard and Sorcerer hit die d6can I boost the Psion hit die from d4 to d6? And since all Caster related uses for the bygone Concentration have been move to Spellcraft, should I use Psicraft to get Psionic Focus and to Manifest Defensively?

Sounds reasonable, we can go with your suggestions.

Folks, feel free to wheel your characters into Horm's even if the stats aren't all up. I'd like to get everyone met and ready to head out. I understand this is a busy time of year, so we will be just parked in town with some light Rping until everyone is square.

Caffeinated, are you posting? Still interested?

Cool beans. We are just moving into the active phase. I imagine we will be headed out by week's end RL time.
